"Complimentary" Track Drive

i got this email from BMW about a complimentary track drive and was wondering if anyone has done this before? if so what did you guys think of it? fully aware i can call the # to get answers but would rather hear some reviews from people who've done it so i can determine whether or not its worth the plane ticket.

Garage List
Free track time, any time, in any car, at any track, is worth it...

It also depends on how much track experience you might already have. If none, then totally worth it.

I’d take that. We get squat in Canada.

It is basically the Performance Center Delivery minus the factory/museum tour. It consists of a hot lap with an instructor, some track time, and an offroad course. It is a cool experience, but I would rather pay for one of the 1/2 day M track days since you have to pay for 2 flights and 1-2 nights in a hotel.

I did the New Owner's Track Drive at PDS in SC on Friday 8/7/2020.
Quite the experience!

BMW is giving this to everyone, I know a few people that leased loaners and they are being invited as well. PSA- If you've leased or purchased any new/loaner BMW this year, call the 888 number and sign up. Well worth it.

Definitely worth the trip to South Carolina.
Here’s what I drove: Z4 M40i, M2 Comp, M4 Comp, M8 Comp Coupe.
Also there was an off-road component with the X5s…so much fun. Had no idea that the X5 was such an incredibly capable car off-road.

The event was from 8-10AM
-X5 Offroading (water, hills, etc)
-M Track day (Z4M40i, M2C, M4C, M8C Coupe)
-Instructor Hot Lap (M5C)

There were only four people in my session in total, so I got an insane amount of track time.
I’m beyond sold on the M8. Insanely powerful. I did not expect that at all.I thought the M8 would handle like a boat, similar to the previous M6. Completely not the case. Super agile and powerful.

I think they vary the cars up, because my cousin went the week before and here’s what he got :Z4M40i, M2C, M4C, X5MC

But yeah their lineup only pretty much was M comp cars, except the Z4 M40i.

Don't bother call the 888 for info. They know absolutely nothing. They told me there won't be any M cars, and there were.

Here are a few pics from the day:

I think PDS West (Thermal) was shut down recently bc of the rising case count. SC is the only one open afaik.
