Sorry to hear about your engine but you really shouldn't be driving like that.

The pull is fine but you passed two cars that were in the LH lane and then dodged another car by going to the left. Anyway just an observation

OP: Sorry to hear about this. Must suck!

So many variables as to what caused it. I'm wondering is this mechanical failure like something in your rotating assembly let go? Or you melted a hole in your piston.

Edited and fixed.

slightly off topic but i presume running the likes of pures and GC's at around 700whp or 750bhp is the max for these stock engines?? is that correct?

ive been toying with the idea of hybrids on my f83 but keep butting it off as i really want 650bhp so the engine is not at the limits for a little safety

Hi guys sorry for the delay. Engine is coming out of the car I acquired n engine from last week was just waiting for my mechanic to have the time to install it with fresh gasket front and rear seals. Was going to build the block but everyone is kind of backed up and I miss the car so im just going to run a 93 map dyno tuned. DCT transmission for sale and micellanous parts.

So guys be very careful I installed a large oil cooler and it kept asking me for oil (would like to know if anyone with a larger oil cooler have the same problem) and
I would give it a 3 quarts in less than a month. So here goes the pics and that's why I never said the tuner or point fingers as of yet but im suspecting it could be the oil cooler made the car starve for oil. Im open for opinions on this one.

Mpire Performance, I would love to build the engine but I feel like its not worth it. I would have to build the transmission also then im deep in the rabbit hole with the build before I know it I have a full on race car lol. My hp aim from the beginning was just 650-675.

Which oil cooler were you using? I installed the Mishimoto and so far no leaks and everything has been ok.

If you used the Mishimoto, did you use their supplied O rings? I used those supplied O rings and they instantly failed. Performance Technic then used OEM rings and those did not leak.
