Week 21/22/23 Builds

You think you guys have it bad. My car went into production on the 11th. It is still stuck on that status and has not moved into "in body shop" yet. Estimated end date is June 3rd!! Sakhir Orange on Full Amaro here btw.

Yes, if it is still 112, you can still make the change except individual order which I believed the build is locked once it is approved. I called my CA yesterday morning to make the change. He told me the car was in 112 and the build was locked. He said he had to call in BMWNA to change the build. I called the genius in the afternoon for status, and genius confirmed to me the change was made successfully and still maintained at week 21. So definitely you can still make the change and should do it asap before the status hit 150.

Yeah they definitely are clueless - I do think that certain changes can definitely push you back. The main problem is that nobody can seem to tell you what components will push it back (outside of Ind options) and which won't... So they hedge

I have a WW25 production for 7/4 delivery. Just want to make sure there is some buffer in the schedule if the production starts late.

If yours completes on 5/27 as well, it has 13 days for shipment and prep.

I would imagine that would be enough time since the M3s are built in another factory and shipped to the Welt.

My wife is picking up a F36 as well, but her car has not started production yet. She has the same build week 21 too. Genius said her car should go into production by end of this week, so I guess her car will not be finished until the following week.

Is that for a car that's getting shipped to the states or for a delivery at the Welt?

Gottcha. So for those of us who are having their car delivered to a dealership in the states the wait will most likely be much longer then?

- on a train to bremerhaven:1-3 days.
- at port awaiting a ship: 1-2 days.
- sitting on a ship: 3-5 days for east coast delivery, 5-12 days for west coast delivery
-Shipping time from Bremerhaven to East Coast: 12-17 days depending on the number of stops.
-Shipping time from Bremerhaven to West Coast: About 30 days.

F82 M4 AW/SO started off as week 23 and was moved to 21. Went in to production today with estimated completion on the 27th and was able to get the last 7 of my VIN. Looks like the factory is running ahead of schedule.

Talked to my CA today, and he said if the car hits production on 5/21 that is plenty of time for the car to get delivered in Chicago by late June. Possibly sooner. So I guess nothing to do but wait. Just impatient because ever since I test drove the car I've loved it, and can't wait for it to get here.

Good news!! I know exactly what you mean. I'm fortunate enough to own an M4 right now. But "new is always better" or something like that (totally a joke).
