...well as a Navy fighter pilot, I never really did grow up

but in all seriousness, the burbles aren't really that loud, pretty subtle to be honest. Messing too much with the engineering behind the cars. but hey what do I know as an emotionally, attention seeking 14 year old.

Subscribed. Hate the burbles, sounds like the muffler is rattling around back there.

I have a 2015 non ZCP with an MPE and absolutely love it. I have no burbles and don't ever want them, those are for the kids. When I hit 3k rpm the valves open and I get the deep growling exhaust note.

Just reporting back the obvious, but figured someone had the same question.

Got the beta from Stephen. On my non-zcp, the sound tuning function will not do anything (so you can't turn on burbles with it on non zcp cars).

Guess I'll have to stay old

Correct, active is the default. Would love to understand what function they are messing with to disable burbles. Do ZCPs burble in economy mode?

No burbles in Efficient mode that I've noticed. Well, might be just a hint, but I'd say they're effectively off in Efficient and ON in Sport/Sport+.

I played around with coding years ago but trying to get back up to speed on my new M3. Do you need to purchase both the Bimmercode and the Bimmerlink apps in order to do coding and the other features like the exhaust flap control on bimmerlink?

you don't have to purchase both for the other to work but they each have their own respective features. for this thread, if you want to disable the burbles, you only need to purchase bimmerlink.

With regards to the exhaust flap, while bimmerlink can control them, you're better off running a valve controller. With bimmerlink you'll have to sync the app every time you start the car and then open the flaps. With a valve controller you can just hit 1 button for instant gratification (I have the valve controller synced to the homelink). there's a VSC valve controller for sale as well in the classifieds!

+1. I have the CG Precision VSC-2 exhaust valve controller, works great!

Lol what? I'm saying people who change their life based on what others think are insecure and immature. And you think I'm younger than you are? I'm here laughing at you guys trying to convince people to not have burbles. And, evidently, you guys are the ones getting butt hurt.

I was mainly targeting the guy who said something like "y'know people aren't very confrontational but people think you're childish if you have burbles so you should remove them".

Anyone know if this is a public beta? If not how long until it is released?

Not public - but you just need to submit a service ticket via the app to request a beta (if they are still doing it).

I don't this this is correct. I went ahead and just unplugged my exhaust flap sensors so I purchased the Bimmercode app for 32$ to do other coding. I can not download Bimmerlink unless I pay an additional 32$.

oops I wasn't clear enough. yes, they are priced separately with different features. the question i was answering was that its not mandatory to purchase both apps. you purchase one or the other depending on the features you want. if you already purchased bimmercode and since disabling the burbles are on bimmerlink, you would have to pay for bimmerlink. now if you already have bimmerlink, you don't need to purchase bimmercode (unless you want their respective features)

Any update on deleting burbles for sport and sport+?

Would like to hear the car without the burbles at times, especially with the wife in the car.

I just got added this morning. Works as expected and the setting remains in memory even after the car has been shut off and restarted. I used the MHD black (WiFi) ENET controller.

I'm STOKED. Running in Sport or Sport+ around town felt embarrassing as the burbles were a bit much.
