Indefinitely, they lock into place (2 settings) and can remain in that position.. well forever. Highest position is great for under the car, the lowest position is perfect for removing or installing wheels.

QuickJack, without question, will change your life if you do your own work in your garage. There were times where it took me longer to get jack stands under the car, than it did to actually do the work. Not anymore!
