MPS4's 295/30/20
I know the Pilot Sport 4’s run a tinyyy bit wider than the super sports, anyone know if 295/30/20 will cause any issues?
I’m running a 12.5mm spacer. Fitment with the 285/30/20 MPSS is 👌🏻. But a 10mm difference in the aspect ratio isn’t massive…just don’t want any rubbing

Ru running the same spacers? Any changes in camber to make sure no rubs?

But I promise you that diff in tires won’t do any harm. I ran a 12 spacer in the rear and when I was on my 666 but I was on 285. That being said, if you do 10 and 295, you should be great!

There’s a 0.5” difference in tread width but the 295/30 was measured on a 10.5” wide wheel vs. a 10” wide wheel for the 285/30. Assuming you’re running stock F 9et29 and R 10et40, I’m not sure how aggressive your 285 currently sits with a 12.5 mm spacer but it would need to be able to handle at least a 0.25” increase in width. A 10et27.5 sounds like it’s a bit on the aggressive side. Actual increase on the sidewall width will be even wider than 0.25” increase. Also, some MPS4S have even thicker wheel sidewall protection. 12.5 mm spacer may be too aggressive for a 295/30 on a 10et40. Diameter is 0.2” larger for the 295/30 as well.

Thanks. It’s from working out the correct tire sizes for various wheel setups for street and track tires/fitments on e36 M3, e46 M3, e92 M3s, f82 M4, Civic and S2000s. I like non-aggressive flush setups that require no more than -2.0 deg of R camber (typically run -1.8 deg). I’ve been going to the track for > 30 years.

Quality spacers are not an issue. The M4 GT4 factory-built race car uses a > 30 mm spacer on the F. Must people that track with 10.5” wide wheels run 15-20 mm spacers. Just make sure the spacer is sitting flush on the brake hub.

My preference is for more aggressive offsets to properly run wider tires so they're not meaty looking.

Track use requires a large front spacer if you want to run a 295 square setup on 10.5et36 wheel. M4 GT4 does the same thing with 11et30 wheels. If done right you can fit 315 mm square tires.

Yeah I was initially concerned about spacers but I’ve had 12.5 mm all round for a year and never had a single problem

Just pointing out if it’s safe to run a spacer in professional motorsport and track driving, it’s safe to run a spacer on the street. You brought up running more aggressive wheel offsets (11et44 isn’t more aggressive than 10et40, it’s the width difference that makes it appear more aggressive) instead of running spacers. Nothing wrong with running spacers.
