Bay Area - 3 piece wheel rebuild recommendations
Hello,
I live in the Bay Area, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get my 3 piece wheels rebuilt locally. I have step lips on them and want to change them to reverse lips. Looking to do this in the Bay Area so I can drop them off versus going through the hassle of packing and shipping them out. Thanks! |

Have you thought about ordering the new inner and outer rings as well as new mounting hardware? It’s not difficult, just tedious, to rebuild wheels. Just need to torque strip each nut and bolt on the backside. Only critical step is applying silicone to seal the interfaces between inner and outer rings with the wheel center. I’ve rebuilt HRE and Forgeline wheels without issue and they still hold air without leaks.
I’m not aware of any wheel manufacturers in the Bay Area. There are probably shops that offer wheel rebuilding services - did you ask in the California subforum? |
