I finally got my M4 and did a pretty long coding session tonight and were unable to get the following things working... Has anyone made any headway with these?

auto HBA on
corona ring brightness
sidemarkers off

The F80 seems to have some things listed a little clearer than the F30 so im going to go back in there and do some more searching around. I will report back once i have a chance to do that.

Asked this in a seperate thread, but figured I would ask here as well:

Quote:
Is there anything in coding to make it start automatically in one of the M Modes, without having to press the M button (either one)?

Or if that is not possible, anything to make it so you don't have to press an M button twice (once, and then again to confirm)?

not that i have found...those driving modes are pretty taboo. Even in the F3x you cant default it to anything other than Eco-Pro via coding. BMW has those hidden well because no one has cracked it yet.

Turn signals in HUD, I tried these but no joy...

1- Code KOMBI / HUD_PIA_BLINKER = aktiv
2- Code KOMBI / BLINKER_HUD_ENABLE = aktiv
3- Code HU_NBT / HUD_TURNSIGNAL = aktiv

I don't get the check box in the settings for HUD and they do not work. Am I missing a setting?

Fxx Coding requires E-Sys with PSdZData and an ENET Cable.

My local coder sent me a text last week to remind dealer at service to not update the system on my car. Apparently new software on the f-series is not code able anymore. Some cars coming back from service couldn't be coded anymore. Just a heads up guys

When did this change occur and can we verify it?
What is the version number that cannot be coded?

I picked up my M3 on Saturday and can confirm it can be coded. This doesn't mean it will be completely up to date though!

BMW made changes to PSdZData beginning with 54.2 and expanded upon them in 54.3, making FDL Coding of many ECU's impossible using regular PSdZData files.

Shawn what is the option to code now if software is updated? Just updated PSdZData?

No, the problem is the updated PSdZData, at least in its normal form. It's too soon right now to know if and what the path forward is.

Crap that's scary. Good thing my SA knows I coded my car and is cool with it. I will have to make sure it's not updated until there is some headway made in this area.
