I told myself I learned my lesson about buying aftermarket reproductions after the GTS hood debacle but now I feel like I'm about to do it all over again lol

Where did you hear/see the complaints about depo? Was it specific to the f8x lights, or in general?
I have heard the f80/f30 DEPO lights are low quality, problematic and bound to give you issues from people bought them, mostly fogging and condensation although they're not terrible

£477 to the UK with a code to the seller beforehand maybe worth asking for people in the US.

The seller has upped it to £570 now as other merchants complained

Ahhhh 10-4. I had an f30 without the XENON/LED and absolutely had to change them. Installed a set of depo headlights with HID’s and they have been amazing in Arizona and Montana weather. The extremes if you will lol. I have since sold the car and know the owner personally, I didn’t want to set them up with bad lights. So far so good!

Any price higher than 50% of the cost for OEM LCI tails is a complete rip. I’d only be interested sub $500, they’re not even real OLED. I’d of course pay more if Dub came out with his versions as those are true OLED.

exactly.

these are the same tech as the regular LCI tails... its LED not OLED. like buying a fake rolex for a 1/10th the price of a real one. rocking these tails with a base hood, headlights, and rep wheels is gonna look funny.

dubsesd tails will probably be 3-4k i'd imagine. OEM is 9000 off iND.

First of all, these should be $650-$750 by the end of the year. Right now you're paying extra for the clout.

Look funny? Literally everyone is buying the same style taillights for their F80/F30s. And c'mon, it's undeniable that these look better than pre-LCI taillights or OEM LCI taillights that costs $200 more any day. The turn signals are sequentially lit as well.

So a M4 GTS with LCI2 headlights would look funny too then since we all know GTS doesn't have LCI2 headlights.

Imagine complaining about $900 taillights that looks similar to the $9000 oem OLED taillights and being bothered that it's not real OLED.

That’s right, I’m 100% interested in those if he’s making them for the M4 as well as the M3. You know Dub will do it right.

yes, you are the only one.
Pretty much

You can say that about any upgrade
I disagree, bm3 is a bargain at 600… diffusers, front lips, wheels, hell I even paid for those overpriced IND roundels with the blacked out chrome, all worth it - but lights? Is it to impress the driver behind u when u brake??

.... it's a cosmetic mod. It looks good. Just like your "over priced roundels". It's not rocket science lol but if you find a pair for $80, lmk

Lol I think 90% of owners on here would agree that LCI lights are so much more aesthetically pleasing than non-LCI.

Your point doesn't really make sense; so why do you buy a diffuser? To impress other people that are creeping up on your bumper?

If you don't think LCI lights are that much better looking then that's your opinion, but the reality is that LCI lights transform the look of a car in my opinion (and majority of enthusiasts)

Unfortunately even our OEM headlights are prone to condensation so even BMW doesn’t do well 100% of the time 😪

Nobody cares if our cars look like the GTS or CS, since the demographic that notice are just a bunch of car guys. I, however, do care that these are one of the best looking taillights on the market that don’t cost 25% of the total cost of my daily driven, depreciating asset.

Yes I'm in the minority, but ur point makes less sense … I peek out my window to look at my car several times a day, I wash my car I look at it, I park my car I look at it, I see the diffuser, I see the lip, wheels, I appreciate them. Really could care less what anyone thinks. And as I said, I would get the lights, but only if they were OEM and cost less than 80, maaaaaybe 85 bucks. I'm sure the majority of "enthusiasts" would also be fascinated by those eBay angel eyes that change color with a fancy remote as well I say if ur an enthusiast, and like GTS lights, then buy a GTS

Imagine saying publicly that these wannabe-OLED lights look "undeniably better" than OE LCI units as if everyone should share your opinion. Pre-LCI, ok, the amber halogen turn signals are crap, but they're classic BMW design with the two LED lines.

I would not dare to install uncertified lighting equipment on any car whatsoever.

Meh, there's always going to be people who are afraid to take the road less travelled.

Yet you have people here color matching their reflectors and no one dares to say that they are "uncertified lighting equipment".
