E85 worst thing could happen?

I'm aware F8x series can handle E85.
But what's worst possible things could happen?
What's needed to be replaced if " it" happens? Lol

Can't find an e85 station and forget to bring your bm3 agent.

About replaced / damage part, it can happen to both gas or e85.

If I ever do E85 , I'd do 100% E85 so I am not sure about " too much E85 "

The likelihood of an engine failure increases with any aftermarket tune, not just E85. You really need to know what you're doing, especially with high E85 mixture. Just always be ready to pay to play when needed.

With that said, the common (minor) points of failure are:

1. Spark plugs
2. Coil packs
3. Injectors
4. LPFP

Just make sure you run a tank of pump gas every few fill ups to clean out the system. Also use a good fuel injector cleaner such as Jectron every few thousand miles.

^ What they said, also HPFP.

I've seen both consistency and reliability through CaryTheLabelGuy's work. I'll be running his tune very soon

The worst thing......
Read the warranty booklet of your M3/M4, it says in there if your car breaks and BMWNA finds more than 10% ethanol in your tank, all warranty voided.

We have a few full E85 vehicles that are see heavy track use (OEM turbos) with the typical caveats:

- Injectors
- Injector O-rings
- Coilpacks
- Plugs

Obviously, street cars aren't pushed as heavy as track rats, so expect fewer issues if any. Cary's been pretty busy here on the Dynojet with N55/S55 and does solid work. Comes highly recommended.

Has anyone experienced the fuel level sender unit to stop working?

I had this occur on other vehicles i had swapped over to E85 and had to resolder the board on the sender board.

N54 guys have been running for some time, haven't heard this issue come up yet.

Confess seems to be to full normal gas every 3k or so often, How do you drain the fuel and run normal gas when the car is purely a track car and sits in storage and is trailered to track?

I run Lucas ethanol treatment. It’s supposed to lubricate the O rings. I’d still run pump gas every once in a while to clean the injectors.

You would either need to run the tank low to dilute in 91 or invest in a small 12V siphon pump.
