What dealer can you get a CSL trunk from directly in the US?

Before about 2007-2008, I was able to freely order CSL headers. I ordered 20 sets. After that, the ordering process changed to require a special euro release form. Anything regarding emissions or crash testing would not be allowed unless a copy of proof of ownership was faxed to BMW NA. The trunk and bumpers are not DOT approved, same with clear reflectors and headlights and therefore were restricted from ordering. I could be wrong, but that's the last bulletin from BMW I read.

People were buying up parts, sometimes entire supplies, then charging outrageous prices to real owners that needed original parts. Rightly so, owners complained to BMW about parts being NLA. Thus a new process. Those with vintage cars and special built cars were the ones that were hurt the most.

I sold them at BMW MSRP homeboy. Also, since I knew the availability when the ban hit, they had over 100 of each in Germany.

Now let me educate what NLA and Backorder mean. NLA means No Longer Available as in NEVER. Backorder just means they're out. The CSL Headers never went NLA ever.

Just checking now, there are 9 of each in Germany.

The BMW change to EURO parts in the US wasn't to restrict the buying for the sake of protecting owners, it was because BMW was not permitted to have these parts on US cars due to EPA and DOT regulations. They did not pay the money to certify these or make them conform to our regulations. With that said, they don't want to incur the penalties for the sake of "Enthusiasts" wanting a Euro part.

Let me be the first to tell you that BMW will never say no to customer money.

The link on the first post is dead...worked a few days ago. I'm trying to find the price and part numbers for the water injection housing and tub that's in the trunk. I saw it a while back but the part number didnt have any prices listed. Can anyone help?

So I inquired with that company to see how much the tank is for the water injection system. Just the tank.... $750. I'm looking for a clean install and want to do something similar for my meth setup so I'd figure install it like the GTS... definitely not for $750
