To drive a track he barely knows and a car he's never driven on one of the most dangerous tracks in the world... that fast... nuts. Goes to show how talented F1 drivers really are

It's pretty amazing... to an F1 driver like Robert, his entire demeanor made this feel like it was slo mo.

Loved this video and I am a big Robert's fan. His accident was very unfortunate and I would have loved to see him in F1 at his best.

Being a WRC fan, I love his rally videos more! Those guys have some real skills and more than a pair's worth of bravery!

I've driven that exact car... suffice to say my lap time was a bit longer. :P

Very impressive driving!

It's why when asked I always recommend track school over "go fast" parts.

I wonder how many people will keep their F8X after watching this video.

To be fair, Robert does say he practiced on Sims. And in the "aftermath" video, Misha explains that the lap we watched was Robert's 32nd (something like that) lap that day. Still impressive af.

I was fascinated that this car ran stock brakes with race pads and no extra cooling...and the calipers had not discolored.
Right?? I was expecting it was on BBK's. Imagine my surprise the car was basically stock save for a few mods.

I used to think I pushed hard at the track until I watched this video! Wow! If I even attempted to follow him I would’ve ended up flying off the course Forza style.

The run was amazing but not to take anything away from Kubica, he's on the lower tier of F1 drivers but could you imagine Vettel/Lewis or Verstappen on the track running that car? These guys are at another level, insane!!

The video was his 16th lap in the car and on the Nordschleife. He did a total of 32 laps.

Not everyone agrees with you on Kubica. He also had signed a contract to drive for Ferrari in 2012.

Kubica also drove for BMW in F1

https://sport360.com/article/formula...lewis-hamilton

"Robert is one of the most talented drivers I have competed against," said Hamilton, one month younger than Kubica.

Like many other skill based activities, those at the elite level are battling for tenths of a second on their best days while us peons are tens of seconds or even minutes behind. Much like horsepower.... the difference between 200hp and 500hp is huge... but once you get to 700hp+, the differences become smaller and smaller because of physics.

Nurburgring (or TF should I say) seems to be less brake-demanding than the GP tracks we run on normal track days. Those Pagid RSL29 wouldn't have last long on a three-mile long circuit!
The people at Apex and others have said numerous times that the GP track is much harder on the brakes than the Nordschleife. Which is also my own experience.

I once did a "Hell Lap" with my driving instructor at the Boss 302 school @ Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. Even with all of my track days and how "good" of a driver I thought I was...professionals always put you in your place. Cool videos.

Misha Charoudin

Owner of Apex Nürburg, racing driver, prolific YouTuber that revolves almost exclusively around the Nürburgring. His vlogs and other video content is incredibly rich in detail with your favorite German cars. He's not the typical douchebag YouTuber.
I could be wrong but I thought that Robert Mitchell was the owner of Apex Nürburg?
You are not wrong. Misha and Robert Mitchell are the owners and founders of Apex. Robert is featured heavily on Misha's channel and I always enjoy his soothing demeanor.

One of my favorite videos to this date is the F80 Ring Taxi cost breakdown. Just an incredibly knowledgeable pair.

Robert has his own YouTube channel too. One of my favorites, no screaming at the camera to keep your audience of middle schoolers entertained, no click bate...what you see is what you get. Super informative.

For an M4 that basically has pads, coil-overs, pretty simple weight reduction, and bucket seats (stock drivetrain) a low 7min lap time is incredible. The M3 is even quicker.
