To drive a track he barely knows and a car he's never driven on one of the most dangerous tracks in the world... that fast... nuts. Goes to show how talented F1 drivers really are

Loved this video and I am a big Robert's fan. His accident was very unfortunate and I would have loved to see him in F1 at his best.
Being a WRC fan, I love his rally videos more! Those guys have some real skills and more than a pair's worth of bravery! |

It's why when asked I always recommend track school over "go fast" parts.

To be fair, Robert does say he practiced on Sims. And in the "aftermath" video, Misha explains that the lap we watched was Robert's 32nd (something like that) lap that day. Still impressive af.

Right?? I was expecting it was on BBK's. Imagine my surprise the car was basically stock save for a few mods.

I used to think I pushed hard at the track until I watched this video! Wow! If I even attempted to follow him I would’ve ended up flying off the course Forza style.

The run was amazing but not to take anything away from Kubica, he's on the lower tier of F1 drivers but could you imagine Vettel/Lewis or Verstappen on the track running that car? These guys are at another level, insane!!

Kubica also drove for BMW in F1 https://sport360.com/article/formula...lewis-hamilton "Robert is one of the most talented drivers I have competed against," said Hamilton, one month younger than Kubica. |

Like many other skill based activities, those at the elite level are battling for tenths of a second on their best days while us peons are tens of seconds or even minutes behind. Much like horsepower.... the difference between 200hp and 500hp is huge... but once you get to 700hp+, the differences become smaller and smaller because of physics.

I once did a "Hell Lap" with my driving instructor at the Boss 302 school @ Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. Even with all of my track days and how "good" of a driver I thought I was...professionals always put you in your place. Cool videos.

For an M4 that basically has pads, coil-overs, pretty simple weight reduction, and bucket seats (stock drivetrain) a low 7min lap time is incredible. The M3 is even quicker. |
