Played a bit with the cellink - for sure 808M3 has his wired incorrectly.

On cellink "output" - that is where you plug dashcam into.

On cellink "Mainbatt" - dont use.

On cellink "input" - connect positive to ACC fuse and the negative to ground terminal on car body.

If I am viewing 808M3 picture correctly you have output going to ground, input going to the car battery and mainbatt going to ACC fuse.

Should have time to hardwire mine this week or weekend.
Where are you mounting the cellink....trunk, glovebox?

It will go in the trunk. I'll post photos and details after I install. The only concern I have is the charge time for the Cellink versus the drain from the blackvue during park mode.

I carpool 4 days/week now and only drive to work 2.3 times/week. That commute is 1+hr each way so I think it will be enough to keep the Cellink charged.

Wow.... similar case happened with me:

A very good friend of mine is getting a new M4 convertible. I should be able to give you guys more feedback. Out of all BMWs, the new M3/M4 are quite different when it comes to battery consumption. I am hoping to find out more. M4 Convertible is arriving first week of May.

Looking forward to reading what you guys come up with on the hard wire. Talked to my local dealer here and they are going to cut me a deal on the Blackvue 650 2 channel system with install because I am getting a GPS tracking system with anti-jamming and remote shutdown (required by my insurance company). Install for GPS system 699 euros, Blackvue system (with the power management and cellink) 599 euros

Oh yea for sure. When the insurance adjuster called this guy, he told the adjuster that he took the bus that day and other bs. When the adjuster said that she has a video footage of the whole incident, he then admitted and decided to pay everything out of his pocket. He also got a ticket from the local police as well.

Wow I didn't know Cellink was available in Netherlands haha. We were the first company to launch Cellink outside of Korea.

You are NOT viewing my photo correctly. Dashcam is connected to Cellink output, Cellink input is connected to ACC and ground. MainBattery was connected to Headlight fuse, which created comfort access problem. So, you are hooking up exactly as I have, nothing new. What happened to your parallel theory?

I can't find/purchase Cellink in the UK.

Only T-power plus alpha.

http://blackvueshop.co.uk/product/an...ther-dashcams/

Any ideas if this would do the job as well?

Thanks

Don't see any reason why it wouldn't work

Blackvue 650 and Cellink install on F82

I wired in the Cellink using add-on 10 amp ATM fuse. Get it at your auto parts store or Amazon. I put it into slot 125. It is an ACC fuse. That means no power is available 20 minutes or so after you turn the car off but power is available while the car is on. It is the empty spot between brown and red fuses on lower left.

Use a voltmeter to confirm it is hot while car is running.

Attach the red and black wire harness to Cellink "input". Red wire goes to the add-on fuse and black wire goes to car chassis as a neutral/ground.

Thanks for the post and pictures Woodengun!

Have you noticed any battery drain or comfort access issues yet?

How much battery time are you getting off the cellink?

Also where did you buy your celling from and how much?

Install the Blackvue

I went a bit different route for wires. I fished them through the roof. Power goes through the roof then to the trunk following the windows and rear sear.

Take off the cover for rear brakelight

Start finger on the corner and then slide fingers between glass and cover a bit. Pull down a bit to release clips and then pull cover towards back of car to remove.

I hate this app - it is always posting pictures twice instead of 2 different pictures. I'll try posting 1 pic per reply.

Like tom@eas pointed out, you need a flatblade to push locking clips in while prying the unit out.

After you the get one side unlocked and it is partially out, grab unit where I do in picture and while using flatblade on other locking tab, pull down on unit to completely remove.
