Powdercoated my brakes and wheels today.

Will have more pics after I get the tires remounted and installed. Here is a teaser, but I did the competition wheels in gloss black, the rotor hubs in satin and the calipers in as close to sakhir orange as I could find to match the seats.

Thanks!
I do a vinyl decal before the clearcoat, so its permanent. Sometimes I use a stencil and spray paint, but usually just a decal.

I have a vinyl cutter and make them myself. I'm semi-retired from powdercoating now, as I'm also a pilot for a major airline, and since upgrading to Captain 3 years ago, it doesn't make sense for me to coat full time anymore.
I'm pretty much just doing it for previous customers and wholesale shops I do work for, but I specialized in brake calipers for 10 years before slowing down. Probably done over 3500 sets.

Just doing enough to keep current in case of another catastrophic event that could kill my airline career.

I'm in Atlanta, but was almost 100% mail order. I do all the breakdown and reassembly, which is what made me unique, and at one time I had about 15 sets of C5/C6 corvette cores and 5 sets of Camaro SS cores, which were my bread and butter.

I guess I waited just a little late in the day to take the pics. The golden hour isn't so good with black cars and an iphone camera it seems.

I like what you did, gives me ideas about doing mine permanently. I did dip mine to try a temp color change before I powder coat. I'm on the fence between a black or dark bronze. The black is growing on me. Currently sporting a satin Obsidian Black pearl on these. Also thinking of a Silverstone match to my interior for the calipers.

3 pics in differing light.

Nice job! I'm in Atlanta also. I'd love to see those wheels in person sometime. I've been on the fence on powder-coating my comp wheels and calipers for a while now... I don't trust many people even though I'm in the automotive industry.

I totally understand, I don't either. I do have someone local I can refer you to though that does do good work.
