BMW ZCP F82 - 666m Tire Options - Reviews? (Conti ECS, Michelin SS/P4S/PSC2)

I'm in the market for tires, there aren't many options in the FRONT stock tire size but I can size up or down.

Options:

Stock 265-30-20/285-30-20 - MSS or MP4S

Size up or down for - MPSC2 or Continental ECS

The continentals do have a 285-30-20 for the rear but do not have a 265-30-20 for the front, so anyone with 666m wheels would need to go 275-30-20 front (or smaller then 265).

The MPSC2 have the 285-30-20 rear but fronts are the same issue as the conti's.

The F82 is mostly never driven in the winter (mid-west) so any of the options will work. I barely track the car but I am worried that putting a 275-30-20 on a 20x9 and it being bulged out (yes I've used search and have seen varying opinions). I know the F80 will not clear the stock 666m with a 275 tire but F82 will. I personal think that a 295 will fit the rear without issue and I don't car about the tire bulging but the front is worrisome.

I have mps4s and it’s great. It’s much better than the mpss. It has better wet traction and is more quiet.

How is rim protection compared to pss? Also are you running the same size as stock? If you take photos of your tires with a flat edge or ruler i will do the same with the pss to show comparison.

PS4S offers much, much more rim protection than the PSS when both are the stock sizes. This is because BMW's custom Star specification PSS is much narrower than a usual PSS would be and is stretched on the 666M wheels. Missed this review, looks like the PS4S are fairly promising.

Bringing this back, so found out I can get a discount on Continental tire though my employment. In order to run the Continentals I need to switch to 275/30r20 for front and 295/30r20 (or 285/30r20) for rears. What do you guys think?

I think you would be just fine with sizes and with Contis. I have those tires on my wagon and they are really good. BTW I just switched to P4S on my M3 and love them.

Those P4S were very attractive and I honestly would have preferred them, the contis in some reviews are better then the PSS and some they are equal, the P4S wins everytime against all the tires. I'm an advocate for the best tires, at the end it is easily the most important piece of safety equipment a car can have, it adds to the overall performance, and can change the drive-ability of the car (NVH). I pulled the trigger on the contis, should have them tomorrow, I will update with pics.

Got the Conti ECS tires installed and initial impressions were:

Softer radially - better over bumps then stock
Stiffer laterally - turn in is way more agressive then stock
Less quiet on concrete, but quieter on asphalt (this is interesting)
More grip then PSS on wet cold road

Beefy looking tires too! With lots of rim protection.

Unfortunately the dealer scratched my wheels with the balancer but they noticed it and will fix it sometime next week (this is me venting!)

Are you lowered? I'm a little worried if I go wider I'll rub. I am running Eibach Euro V.1 springs
