Concerns with door trim removal for window tinting?

Do you guys have concerns with the installer removing the door trim for window tinting? I would hate having creaks/rattle due to them removing and re-installing the door trim.

I've never had a tint installer remove trim :
Maybe trim is not the right term. interior door panels? so the tint can extend below the top of the door panels?

My tint installers never remove anything on my cars. Granted I go to an awesome place that's been in business for many years. They just know how make the perfect "cuts". Good luck

After a bit of research and calling around a few shops, the shops that remove door panels/upper trim is the best way to go while the shops that dont say the shop that removes door panels just dont know how to do it well, haha.

In any case, appreciate your feedback.

On a car with framed windows, the door panels need to be removed to tint the windows properly. With frameless windows, it is not necessary.

My F80 was tinted in my driveway without anything being removed. It was done fast and it looks very good.

It's personal preference - neither way is right or wrong. It is certainly possible to tint without removing anything, but takes a little more skill and increases the risk of dirt getting behind the tint. That's why some prefer to take the extra step to remove trim and door panels.

You absolutely should not go to a place that wants to disassemble your doors to install tint. I've never had a shop do that, including on my f80, and the tint is perfect! Find a shop that knows how to tint properly.

It's completely unnecessary to remove door panels to install tints. Pick a professional place to do the tinting for you.

I just don't understand why one way has to be right and the other way has to be wrong. There is a such thing as 2 different, and equally correct, ways of completing a task.
