No, not at all. Competition is F: 9Jx20, R: 10Jx20.

Given the above the 265 is on the outer limits for 9J but BMW run this size on the OEM MPSS. For 10J the 265 is perfect ideal tyre size.

Looking at BMW winter wheels, they provide you 18 and 255 all round. I prefer the extra traction of the wider tyre!

Thanks for the link. So just to confirm I just need 4 of the same tyres you quoted in your link and I'm good to go?

Hi, yes. BMW would either sell you 18 or 19 dia wheels but both have 255 square. The 666M will fit 265 front and rear. I prefer better traction of slightly wider tyre for when in damp / dry conditions so a 265 is good fit here.

265 isn't too wide when it snows too so best of both worlds whilst using the 666M for something useful - winter duty.

Spring time I'm looking forward to buying some Ferrada forged wheels they release soon in 2017

So I ordered the tyres and then spoke to a guy at demon wheels who said the backs would be stretched and that I should check with BMW to see if they recommend that I use the 265's on the rears. The official word from BMW is don't do it and if you have to run winter tyres on the 20" wheels go with a 285 on the rear.

Order cancelled and reordered some Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero Serie II

Go with the exact same tyre size if you're running winters on the CP alloys Tommy.

265 front, 285 rear.
