Not sure if there is anything behind the liner where your rubbing.
If there isn't and its just dead space. You can modify the liner a little.

Its a super easy mod no one will notice.
You can make a small indent in the liner where its rubbing by using a heat gun/hair drier.
Offroad people do this to their liners to fit bigger tires if they rub. I had to do this slightly on my xterra since it slightly rubbed on the liner when i got 33" tires at full lock.

Heat up the area its rubbing. Once warm and mold-able, you can push the liner in slightly. Then use something to hold the indent in place, till the liner cools. Once cool, the slight indentation you made should hold.
If you use a heat gun, make sure not to over heat, over-wise you'll melt the liner.

Subscribed for more info on the F80>F82 wheel well clearance difference.
I've been running 265/295 for more than a year now. I tried PSS and currently on PS4S. No rub at all with or without the spacers but I'm running 12.5mm front and 7.5mm rear spacers.

I pulled the trigger on 275/295 since the OP issue seems to be isolated to only him. Getting the rubbers put on sometime Monday, and I'll report back.

Just got them installed and I have no rubbing on my F82. Looks mean as hell!! No reason for spacers with this setup and if any I'd only suggest 5mm

Doubt it's an installation issue. Check all the specs on the tires to make sure they say 275/30vs 275/35

On that note and after 30 miles or so to break them in, they're totally different, handling is stiffer and almost how the car should have been equipped with.

that's exactly why i think something is wrong with my install. i have triple checked the tire specs and they 275 30ZR20 (97Y) and my handling is LOOSER than before. my sport + setting is looser than the comfort mode before installation and the comfort setting feels like a damn hyundai with how much wheel play/float i have. i'm at a loss for what could have caused this. i'm not lowered, i don't have spacers, nothing has been done to the car except changing the tires and it's shit

I agree, and I took a plunge with your same thoughts. Honestly when paying 1400+ on installed tires you hope it works out. I have a ton of room left over.

I had 275x35x19 on 437M (front) wheels with no rubbing. Currently have 275x30x20 winter tyres on 10" wide (front) wheels with no rubbing. I also have a set of 275 PS4S mounted on 666M wheels ready for summer, but I only trial fitted these as we are still getting snow in the UK. However, when I trial fitted them - after reading this thread - there was sufficient clearance. Car is an M4. It's a bit baffling...

So the concensus is...M4 F82 Michelin PS4S 275-30-20 front = no rubbing.

Is there anyone with an M3 F80 and Michelin PS4S 275-30-20 front that does not rub?

Which tire did you go with? The brand/model makes a big difference. And are you on stock 666 wheels like OP?

MP4S
275/30/20
295/30/20

I'm all stock and the grip from the rear is insanely different. The front steering dynamics were slightly different based just on feel, but not in a bad way.

Going BM3 Stage I so the extra grip and more rubber from these tires were a must.

So I checked on the stock front, I have enough space to slip fit my finger in there, roughly .4in.

So I made a little drawing to understand if in theory the 275-30-20 PS4s would fit, and it does not...in theory, or maybe not just in theory since OP is rubbing.

What I don't have correct on my drawing is the axis of rotation of the wheel which I assume to be some distance away from the 29mm wheel offset. If someone has a hub, the offset can be measured.

Also this is using tire rack tread width which could be off depending on Rim width.

A friend of mine recently had the 4S installed on his F80: 265/30/19 front and 295/30/19 rear.

He mentioned the steering felt lighter after the new tires were on - sport feels like comfort used to.

I have no first hand experience, this is simply what he told me.

I will be putting a 275/30/20 on a 10" wide front wheel with a +23 offset in the next few weeks. Will report on how it fares.

installing new suspension today - keeping my fingers crossed that this and an alignment magically fix my problem, or i'll be putting up the 275s for sale quickly.
