Thanks to our wonderful member JTO24 we have some more pictures of Golden brown here - http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1138869

Here are some images courtesy of him! I talked to him and he recommended I go Amaro Brown on YMB and I am still leaning toward that but curious what you guys thing now that we have some more pics of Golden brown on actual M3/M4 seats!

I think either one could work, but amaro looks to be a better fit and definitely the safer route. Gb looks a little too orange for yas...great for a dark exterior like azurite or tanz, a little more risky with yas. Kinda like yas/sahkir...

Haha yup definitely safer/I can easily see the color combos of YMB/AB working well together! I am just scared of the GB being too orange and it ruining my taste of the car.

My first option was yas/sahkir that was before I realized I could do these individual color combos.

My last two cars had red interior in them so I wanted to try something different a know?

I have something similar to that in my 7 series, gets WAYYYY to dirty! I cannot stand white interiors after that. I agree looks nice though!

Wait, your first choice is blue on red, but you are too scared to do blue on "orange"??

Personally, I still prefer GB. Like I said, I still drool when I see an LSB/Cinnamon E46 M3.

Haha, it sounds strange I know but the only reason it was blue on red as first choice was because there were no other unique colors available standard at that moment. I like things that stand out so when I saw individual colors become available, both of the browns looked awesome and much more to my taste!

Exactly LSB on Cinnamon E46 M3 was awesome!

Hi everyone ! My ride is a year old now and i'm still in love
There has been some questions about infamous Goldbrown leather and it's a pleasure for a humble 428i to be invited on the M Forum

First of all it only looks orange in bright sunshine AND ONLY on the PICTURES. I have NEVER thought "my interior is orange" nor nobody never told me so.
I included some pictures with my wife's brown purse next to goldbrown, it is almost exactly the same color, and nobody would ever think it is an orange purse. It is a rich but natural brown.

Another thing is that with a coupe and tinted windows, it is really hard to see the leather's color from outside. For me its is more of a downside as i really like Goldbrown and i would like to show it... i often roll the windows down to show it, but even doin so doesnt show a lot of the color.

First 2 pics are with the windows closed, all the others are with windows down or door open (obviously, sir)

I find it a nice color to match darker paintworks, but i cant see any problem with glacier, mineral white, alpine white, or blue ... its is often a combo on porsches or other sportscars.

Finally, DONT LAUGH !!, but i tried to put different shades of blue next to goldbrown to see if it would be a good combo. I guess the shirt is the closest to yas marina i could find , and if u ask me i think it looks mighty fine.

Also Check out the X5M combo Long beach blue - Aragon brown which is pure sex. I dont know which brown Aragon is closer to ( gold or amaro ) but i really dig that combo.

Last but not least, even if i love Goldbrown, i would have a really hard time to choose between Amaro and Goldbrown .......

Good luck,
Julien

That is one of the coolest posts in the spirit of what these forums is all about.

You took everything in your house that was blue and put it in your front seat

The purse was a great example of how tricky the color is to photograph.

And yes, the Long Beach Blue combo is one of my favorites!!

You are awesome and definitely helped this thread! THANK YOU SO MUCH Julien! We all really appreciate the hep!

Blue with that shade of interior looks very nice! Im actually finally going to see Amaro brown in person today as a dealer near me has it in a 6 series so hopefully I will either love or hate it and make my decision easier! I amd glad to hear you never think of it as too ORANGE as I guess pictures do not do it justice?

This shouldn't even be a question... Yas/gold brown would look awesome. Amaro does nothing for me... The gold brown is a very classic sports car look, similar colors found in all sorts of exotics normally names something like saddle brown. And again, it hearkens back to the LSB/cinnamon days which is a very good thing

THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING POST! Because of you I made my decision to go YMB with Golden Brown interior on my 2016 M4. On order currently for August pickup!

Exactly what I am going for! That LSB/Cinnamon look! I can't justify paying the $5000 for individual LSB exterior and I LOVE the way Yas Marina Blue looks as it is so I am excited to see how the combo will look in person. I am your guinea pig for this guys!

Just a quick bump and info on this thread, I took european delivery of my 2016 M4 which was a combination of Yas Marina Blue Exterior with Individual Golden Brown Interior.

I LOVE the combo! Been getting compliments left and right here in Europe. My BMW ED specialist told me I am 1 of 1 with this combo which is something I was not expecting but awesome!

It just matches so nicely in every lighting scenario. YMB is gorgeous and Golden Brown just adds that extra flavor!

Still traveling around but will make a thread about my trip including pictures/videos soon. I know, I know, this thread is worthless without pics but it will be worth the wait! Need to have a much more stable internet connection than I have been getting in Europe to make it happen.

I will make sure to keep you guys updated but I am SOOOOO happy I decided to go with Golden Brown over Amaro Brown! Amaro was nice as I saw it at the Welt but it was so much more muted compared to Golden Brown. I wanted something that POPPED color wise and Golden Brown was definitely the perfect choice for my needs!

Thank you for everyones help in this thread! Especially Saphirschwarz & JTO24

Way late to this thread but what the heck here are a few pics of my Amaro Brown Full Individual - I nearly pulled out my remaining hair over this choice and came very close to going with GB but when a poster from GB showed me some better pics and I also got samples from BMWNA back in June 2014 I decided there was too much orange in the GB for my taste - VERY difficult as both colors change a lot in different light conditions - the AB can look a bit pasty or as someone said like 'make-up' brown but in other light and especially at night looks superb.

Guess you went with AB - I think yo won't regret it!

Cheers, C.

Amaro definitely looks a lot more classy and less orange...........!
