Kies Motorsports Install G8X seat in F8X

Just watched the whole process, would anyone do this for with their F8X cars? I love the regular F8X seats over the carbon bucket ones, would love to do this for my F32.

I might, if I could get a G80 set (vice a G82 set) that would match my interior and to have a proper seatbelt attachment point on the seat (since I own an F80) - and of course an extra kidney to give up as well to help offset the cost (even for a used set)...

I saw that video and was surprised at just how plug-n-play they appear to be in the F80, especially as it pertains to the coding to get the car to recognize the airbags in the seat. Although, in the video he did not technically state the airbag coding had the car "recognize" the airbags vice just turning them off, like what you would do when installing race buckets. But I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt that the coding done appears to have the F80 recognize the airbags in the carbon seats.

Very cool that some of it works, and matches his Silverstone interior, but I turned it off once I saw him take his vise grip and bend the seat belt connector and just jams it under the seat frame bolt hole because the seat belt doesn't connect to the seat in the G8*'s.

Yeah - I had the same reaction -- though he did emphasize that this is not a DYI project. I don't think I'd feel comfortable driving this car after messing with the seat belt system!

The m3 floor board may have the same seat belt mount as the m4, since BMW may have used the same front floor pan for both cars.
