nbt evo retrofit coding needed

I just purchased everything I need to retrofit nbt evo headunit and touchscreen into my 2015 m3.

I’m looking for a company that can code the headunit to my vin and activate full screen CarPlay along with screen mirroring and video in motion.

I’ll be installing everything in the next day or so.

Question: when doing this retrofit, will it restore the connectivity with the My BMW app to enable sending navigation destinations to the car and other "connected" functionality? There's a telematics module under the trunk floor that I suppose would also need to be replaced to do that.

You need an ATM for Connected Drive and all the functions. Plus the HW 2.x versions that many are retrofitting do not allow a number of Connected Drive features available in later models, not to mention more and more posts in various Bimmerpost F Series forums about reboots even in CarPlay due to the limited 2Gb of memory in HW 1.x and 2x.

Thanks for the info, although I don't care anything about CarPlay or Android Auto - I just want the ability to send destinations to the car and the other connectivity functions. Frustrating that it's not possible to just replace the ATM and restore that capability.
