Do the non-adaptive LCI headlights have the non-full-halo look?

My car just rolled out of the assembly line yesterday! Do the standard, non-adaptive headlights have the new “ICON” look or are they still full halos similar to the pre-LCI headlights?

I didn't go for exec so didn't get ICONs. I got my VIR and sadly wasn't one of the lucky ones that got the ICONs on non-exec M3s...

Either way not a deal breaker if they are full halos as those look good too! I just could have sworn that these cars now came standard with “ICON”-like headlights!

TIA

The different shaped daytime running lights are for the adaptive (Icon) headlights only. The standard LED’s are more rounded kind of like the old xenons and have the full halos still. You do get the new blackout headlights either way though (no chrome layer anymore on the headlight housings) and the side bulbs/turn signals are different.

Thanks! So just to be clear the inside "halo" is not "broken" like the now-standard LED headlights on the 3 Series? I know the ICON lights have the cool slanted design.

Correct. It’s odd I know. Even the 2018 320i now comes standard with LED headlights that have the broken design almost like icons, lol but the M3 doesn’t.

F30 headlights are different from F32 headlights which are what the F80/F82/F83 use.

Thanks! I had spent so much time over in the 2er forum/M2 forum that I didn't pay much attention over here when the LCIs dropped. My plan was to get an M2comp but then I got married, and then we got a dog.....and then she said if I wanted a "sports car" it had to be 4 doors!

Not that the lights are ugly, just seem a bit dated and very much like my 2er. I wanted the Icons but I just couldn't justify the cost of the exec package just for the lights, I didn't care for anything else!

Ok, yeah. I just was confused because, like the other poster mentioned, standard 3 Series headlights have an icon "look" to them whereas the non-icon lights on the f80 haven't changed much since launch!

All good my friend we buy these cars for the performance aspect first and foremost, the rest is just bells and whistles

You’ll love your car either way.

Ohh yeah! I'm super excited. I had a rough time letting my 2er go. I know the second I pic up my F80 I'll forget about her though.

Haha, totally! I'm really not that big into the lighting and "must have this and that" part of the reason I went full on stripper with the M3! When she's on the track I'm not going to care about how my lights look!

Just saw you got the cloth, awesome. Nothing wrong with building a stripper M3 man that’s for a sports build and a lesser payment. My last f80 was cloth and DCT and that was pretty much it. 18 inch wheels which I also loved with the meaty tires on them. When I added spacers it looked like the perfect weekend track car.

My 17 didn’t even have a backup camera and the car was over $70k list lol.

Enjoy it man the f80 is a blast.
