Sonic MS | AST Suspension Lowering Springs & Coilovers

Contact Info:
Email: anmol@sonicms.net

AST Suspension USA was created to offer the same high-performance shocks used by performance enthusiasts and race teams throughout Europe to the United States. With the demanding market for more powerful vehicles, handling and control is equally as important to keep that power in control. Hand in hand with our quality dampers, our goal and vision is to provide quality shocks with an affordable price followed by excellent service and support.

Advanced Suspension Technology (AST) has continuously evolved since its establishment in 2000. AST’s signature dampers utilize inverted shock technology. This race-proven technology produces an extremely strong damper, providing better suspension geometry under heavy lateral and braking loads as seen in a spirited road or track environment. From progressive lowering springs to 3-way adjustable dampers with external reservoirs, AST offers a product for almost any use or application on and off the race track. All systems are hand built in Holland.

AST F8X Lowering Springs

AST Lowering Springs are manufactured from a premium high tensile chromium-silicone wire which is handpicked by AST engineers for its quality and metal consistency.

Each spring is cold wound and then heat treated to increase hardness and reduce internal stresses present after winding. Each spring is then individually shot peened, phosphate treated and then powder coated to outlast even the life of the vehicle.
Progressive rates on most vehicles
EDC Compatible (if applicable to vehicle)
Each spring is blocked and computer tested prior to shipping, which reduces any settling once installed on the vehicle
Most of our spring applications are TUV Certified and certificates can be provided upon request

AST F8X 5100 Series Coilover

The 5100 Series shock absorbers utilise inverted / upside down technology. The inverted design is race proven technology and produces an extremley strong damper, providing better suspension geometry under heavy lateral and braking loads as seen in a road and track environment.

The 5100 Series shock absorbers give your car a better performance than the standard twin tube design. With the 5100 Series suspension you can adjust rebound with one knob. The adjust platform allows you to adjust the ride height of your car. AST suspension shock bodies are specially designed to keep maximum stroke, even with a lower ride height.

How a Monotube design works?

Monotube design essential for performance, The oil and nitrogen are separated by a floating piston, and allows the use of a larger piston, increasing the damper performance and sensativity felt by the driver, all this added together produces more grip, gives more control and driver feedback from your vehicle.

What is a rebound adjustment?

Rebound controls the rate of extension of your shock absorber, By changing the rebound you can directly change the charecteristics of the vehicle.
Floating piston design with high pressure nitrogen means no cavitation around the piston.
14mm diameter internal shaft.
44.5 mm diameter shaft struts, inverted.
Steel cylinder body shocks, inverted.
High end, track ready suspension.
Rebound adjustable (”Singles”).
Low friction seal.
Adjuster knobs permanently mounted on the dampers.
Rubber bushings for ”eye” shock mounts.
Optional spherical top mounts.
Optional DLC Coated shafts.
Optional DDP piston (double digressive).
Rebuildable.
Optional custom valving

AST F8X 5200 Series Coilover

The 5200 Series are 2-way adjustable shock absorbers which are based upon competition 3-way adjustable shock absorbers. The 5200 shock absorbers are adjustable in compression and rebound.

The design of the compression adjuster is an evolution of the compression adjuster we provided for the American Grand-Am series for the last few years. The 5200 shock absorbers were designed to achieve a quick and easy set up, allowing separate adjustment of compression and rebound.

In the 5200 Series AST uses an external canister. Throughout testing and competitions, the 5200 has been praised for its performance and capabilities, surpassing other major, more expensive brands and setting a new standard of 2 way damper. Its no surprise that the 5200 is fast becoming a favorite damper amongst race teams and track day enthusiasts world wide.

Benefits include:
High end, track ready suspension that is totally streetable
Fully upgradeable to 5300 spec
Rebound and Compression Adjustable (‘Doubles’), with a remote reservoir
Remote reservoirs allow additional travel and heat dissipation
44.5mm diameter shaft struts, Inverted
New low friction seal on all AST dampers
Spherical lower ‘’eye’’ shock mounts
Reservoir with hose or piggyback
Spherical upper shock mount assemblies
Synthetic hydraulic fluid
Optional DLC Coated shafts
Optional DDP piston (double digressive)

AST 5300 Series Coilover

For the best performance on the track, AST Suspension designed the Competition 3-way adjustable series. The 5300 Series shock absorbers are rebound adjustable in 12 positions on the strut.

The highspeed compression is adjustable in 12 positions and the lowspeed compression is adjustable in 14 positions. Both compression adjustments are made using an external canister. All adjusters work completely independent.

Many years of technical knowledge, testing and experience has been refined, fettled and brought together to create a perfect balance between the choice of springs and the corresponding damping characteristics. This makes it a versatile product for every customer. The 5300 series shock absorbers are the best solution for every race team. Once installed te shock absorbers are easy to setup, highly reliable and require low maintenance during the season because of the high grade of materials used.

All of this together makes the 5300 series shock absorbers a championship winning damper, over and over again. The AST 5300 Suspension is worldwide renowned for its performance at every level.

Benefits include:
High end, track ready suspension.
Rebound, Low & Hi Speed Compression Adjustable (‘Triples’), with a remote reservoir.
Remote reservoirs allow additional travel, heat dissipation and oil/nitrogen gas capacity.
44.5mm diameter shaft struts are inverted and offer exceptional strength, which in turn reduces geometry change under corner and braking manoeuvres.
Aluminum cylinder, threaded body shocks, factory mounting style.
New low friction seal on all AST dampers.
Spherical lower ”eye” shock mounts.
Reservoir with hose or piggyback (piggyback examples: ’08 STI & BMW E36 rears).
Spherical upper shock mount assemblies.
Synthetic hydraulic fluid.
Optional DLC Coated 44,5mm inverted shafts.
Optional DDP piston (double digressive).
Fully serviceable and rebuildable.
Revalvable for specific characteristics.

What is the drop for the springs only, and are the spring rates alright for stock dampers (non edc)?

Thanks
