My guess is 3 more years, I just hit 40k miles with it. I used to change cars yearly mod them and rinse and repeat and it has gotten so tiring to start over every year then decide to start the hunt again so I'm going to enjoy this one for a while longer as nothing out there is worth replacing it with

Plus the people that whine about "out of warranty" are simply uneducated on this platform, it's very very reliable

I will probably wait the G80 Competition. And no more first year built for me...

I just put a 72 month/100k bumper to bumper warranty (starting from date the warranty was purchased not the car) so I'll be keeping mine for awhile.

Yup. And for good measure, DCT is so much better than 6MT. Why would anyone wanna do any work?

Possibility. Due to fact newer 3-series releasing in 2019, M3 in 2020 and M4 will follow in 2021 or 2022 worse case.

Hoping for best. Otherwise, I might jump to M3, M5 or M8

Great pic... not that I'm biased toward Yas and 666's or anything

I love this car. Love getting into and running to work, school or errands so I'm planning on keeping it at least 4-5 years. Warranty is nice to have but these cars seem to be really really reliable.

Don’t think that will be the timeline. E90/92/93 were released simultaneously, as were the F80/82/83. Seems likely they won’t be released until the 4 Series is ready.

Forever, plus 2-3 yrs, considering the amount of mods I’ve put into this car.

I just picked up an M3 and waiting for ship to arrive for redelivery. I'd like to think 4-5 years and do another ED. Should manual transmission not be available I may keep it or go another route.

We’re just dating right now, but things may get more serious at the end of the lease.

Had my M4 for 4 years now and no desire to get rid of it. Maybe when the new M4 (G-series) comes out, I will replace it.

I'm flirting with keeping it forever, but I think realistically I will keep it until the G8x M3 comes out. Then I will replace it.

I just hit 40K miles and I typically only drive 2-3K per year now. Only thing that would pry me out early is a 911 GTS, or 991 Turbos dropping into the 100K range.

No problems, low miles, looks great, performs better than my capabilities... and paid off. Keeping it for the foreseeable future.

Lease is up next May 15. Will probably get a '19 but will probably skip the IND color this time. Hoping for some different color choices for '19 but might go YAS. Have San Marino now, but if the F82 is the same story as the F80 this year, might not have a choice to go IND even if I wanted to.

Might shop the RS5. The "old" F82 tech in a last model year gives me some pause, but I'll be in time for the G8x comp I guess after my '19 lease is up.
