This is a real bummer that BMW isn't standing behind this. I am looking and thinking about a low miles garage gts. The selling dealer says they are not cracked and sees no reasonable to drop the price or repair.
Is this a $10,000 repair? |

I could find the quote, I think it was $5400 including an alignment for one repair. So maybe $10,600 to have a dealership replace both if you wanted to get the revised knuckle.
Just wrapped up a family trip and back in town. I'm going to order a replacement knuckle this week. With that in hand I'll grind the other knuckle to match the profile and send it. While I'm at it going to lower the car to track height. Semi-related, my dad hit a deer driving out to Sebring and totaled his track prepped 135i(my first BMW ), so I'll keep the M4 around for easy drive-in drive-out track days for when he flies out here to scratch the itch. He's already getting impatient about replacing his car and it's been two weeks |
