Experience with dealership delivering a car?
Hey guys, so I'm negotiating with a dealership that is about 150 miles from me and was thinking about just asking them to deliver the car to me instead of going there to pick it up. Has anyone else done something similar? If so, how much should I expect to pay for a delivery from 150 miles away?
Thanks! |

If it was 150 miles though, I would have gone there and picked it up myself.

If 150 miles, you should negotiate and get that for free but expect a porter to drive it down. If dealing with a flatbed, enjoy the ride home and save the $$.

Save the money and drive it back. Enjoy the car from day 1

I would probably drive myself for 150 miles,
I shipped mine from a bmw dealer 600miles away and negotiated free shipping in the deal. Was open transport but went by smoothly with no issues. |

Just took delivery from mine and used Montway for an enclosed delivery 1200 miles away.
Car is a bit dirty but that was before it was loaded into the truck but no issues throughout the process...they actually delivered the car the day after it was picked up when I was quoted 4-5 days originally. Make sure for peace of mind get an enclosed transport

you can't make this stuff up! in all seriousness, if you're not excited about driving down and taking deliver of your brand new M3 because it's 150 miles away, you're probably buying the car for the wrong reasons. |

Since 2011 I've done three Euro Deliveries and drove all three cars at least 1800 miles in Europe and you're worried about a 150 mile drive??!!

We've had cars delivered that have been 400 miles or around that. It came in an enclosed trailer pulled by a pickup truck- by an employee of the dealer. We paid $500 for it. It came scratch free and nicely protected
Granted, if it was 150 miles trip, I'd choose to drive the vehicle home. In the end, it's just a 3 series car- a really good one, but a 3 series nonetheless. |
