Can you please share your experience so far

Anyone with an Eventuri can chime in? I was reading Eventuri's post on their air intake and it claims IATs were reduced by around 5-7 degrees Celsius. Also, anyone with an Eventuri experienced any low end loss?

Cheers!

What do you think about leding the intakes inside the hood , they will receive more heat that the ones in the front MSR etc etc. I think they will get fresh air direct from the street.

What are your thoughts about it?

Front mount intakes can easily get dirty and decrease airflow, but they also stay (and look) cool up front. Rain and snow can also be an issue depending on where you live.

Fully ducted or baffled open intakes like Eventuri or MST have great flow and sound, and take advantage of the OEM cold air intake path from up front. My preference is without the mini scoops so rain/snow doesn't become an issue. MST has extended tops for the OEM box bottoms so some air gets pulled in from over the headlamps, and they're not expensive (just pm mike@x-ph).

The under-hood open intakes that have no baffles or separators are much more likely to pull in hot air from under the hood. The passenger side with the turbos gets the hottest.

I'm curious if anyone knows.

What is the power limitations of the stock airbox? At what point (what mods, or hp) does it start choking the motor.

I know it's been discussed. I can't seem to find too much info on it.

I think I found the thread. Maybe tom @ eas can chime in a little here for us.

A filter upgrade will provide more power than the stock one on a lightly tuned car.

Upgrading the rest of the intake adds sound as well as power over stock

Do you have more details on the extended tops? I asked Mike and we're both looking for a product link, or further clarification. Thank you!

Here's pix of the metal MST airbox tops that mount on top of the OEM airbox bottoms. There are a few points that don't have screws, so they don't scratch. That's part of their instructions. The screws provided hold very well. If you don't like the rubber gasket moulding at the top it can easily be removed and replaced with some thin door-edge moulding for a clean edge. Nothing touches.

Gotcha, thanks - now I get it. I misread your initial post that MST might sell the tops separate from their entire intake system (was going to pair the tops with my burger intakes) but that doesn't seem to be the case. Thanks for the follow up!

Did you even read my question mike?

I don't think anyone here will benefit from your textbook response about how an intake works.

There is a company that makes air box spacers for AMG's. that increase the volume of your air box. It works well.

Maybe, I'll get some 3D printed if I can find some time.

Thanks Jimmy as always!
