OEM CCB Brake Pads

Hi. I'm looking for a brand new set of OEM front brake pads for my M3 with CCB (part number: 34-11-2-284-970) but they seem to be out of stock in all BMW dealers in Canada. Anyone knows where I can get hold of them within the next few days please?

But the way, the current pads still have like 7mm of thickness left. Do I need to replace the brake pad wear sensor (part number: 34-35-6-792-289) too?

I'm not familiar with ccb but 7mm seems like it's plenty no?

Anyway fcpeuro lists them on their website. Did you check with them?

And yeah if you replace the pads then you should replace the sensor.

Thx White340. FCPEURO is from US, I'm trying to contact a few shops in US too. But I bet those located in Canada would be able to send me the parts faster.

From the forum some members are saying that once the pads are worn past 50% of the thickness, the CCB rotors will wear out very quickly. Hence the general suggestion in the forum is to have them replaced prior to that. 7mm is just about the time.

Given the wear sensors have not been touched yet, I wonder if they need to be replaced in this situation.

I’d reuse the sensor. I did on my ccb setup on my F80

Didn't know that. Learned something new today. For the sensor, it's only 20 bucks so might as well replace it if you're going to spend 700+ for the pads.

How many miles are on your car?

No need to replace the sensor if the part in the pads is not broken making the brake light service to get on

White340 this recommendation I learned from this forum was for CCB only. i've had ~26K km, including about 6 track days, although i haven't used the full potential of the brakes in all 6 occasions.

I needed to replace my pads on my M3 at 34,000km due to the top of the pad breaking off so to speak. Tons of auto x and and maybe two track days at full bore.

There was approximately 1/2 the pad left, but oddly started to lose pad at the top of it.

My GTS has 17,000km, only driven to the track and back (20+ full on track days, auto x,etc) and has far less than 1/2 pad left. Guess I’ll look at replacing them soon
