OT: It would be nice if you can find that post, AFAIK no dealer can revert an Istep, although it is possible. Regarding dyno plots, I know nada about them and tunes... was just pointing to some data points

After a bit of research the issues seem to be as follows. As much as the Chevron 94 sounds great, it doesn't have any ethanol in it. As such the RON rating is much lower than what a person might assume from a 94 AKI octane. The same apparently holds true for the Shell 91 (no ethanol). The oddball in the group of available gas is the Chevron 91, as it might actually have ethanol in it (E5-ish) and thus "might" be the best option for a boosted application. I tried asking a Chevron attendant if they knew the amount of ethanol in the 91 octane fuel, and they looked at me like I was from Mars, so I left it at that. ;-)

Yes, the attendants lack something.....

Couple more positive reviews on Alex's thread were posted. I don't know How I'm going to test with all this snow in Alberta. Hope to be flashing this weekend. Can't wait !

that was funny! No I will never tune any car I own. The stock power is more than enough for me to handle. My interests lie elsewhere!

Nice, how are you liking it !? I did the install last week and it went smooth. God I love the burbles and the start up roar. The car sounds complete different from the Civic M4 with the flash. I didn't think a simple flash would make such a drastic difference . I'm running stock exhaust and that is even pleasing. I bought a Remus mid pipe paired with a ZCP OEM exhaust I can't imagine how that will sound

Love it! Really enjoying it so far. A noticeable power bump and the burbles add to the whole experience.

I also have a 2016 model. The only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger with the CS tune from BPM is the warranty issue. Are you personally not worried about having any warrantable engine issues for the next 2 years?

Warranty gives me piece of mind but I really do want the extra power and burbles that my civic m4 didn't come with.

No question you are taking a chance when it comes to warranty but I guess that could be said for any and all mods that you apply to your car. That said, the engine is likely the one you fear the most when it comes to potential warranty issues. I am not worried though. Mike at BPM has been doing this for many years, I trust his work.

You're a brave man... Not a chance I'd let Alex "Tune" my car after reading his thread, and his understanding of the CS and GTS *like tunes he is slinging.

Perfect example of someone jumping on the train with absolutely zero backend R&D... he hasn't even strapped an F8X to a dyno.

To each their own but if I keep the M its going to be MHD, BPM or Bootmod3 (waiting to see what they bring to the table)

I might be interested in your charge pipes.

Also, I've been reading this thread, I'm curently debating between stage 1 or stage 2 - I'll need downpipes if going stage 2. I'm also hesitant in regards to the warranty - I'm CPO'ed until May 2021, I'd hate to have something bad happen to me.

Do you think you can upload a video of the BPM burbles on your stock exhaust? All the posted videos have modded exhausts and I was always curious to hear how a BPM tune sounds on a stock exhaust. Thanks

Sadly I do not have a stock exhaust. For anyone else though, I have stock DP's, Fabspeed x-pipe (aka mid-pipe), and Akrapovic axle-back exhaust and I have to say, it sounds great!

For anyone that is curious as to how mine sounds, here is a quick video I just uploaded to YouTube.

The tune is great and what's even better is Mike's support and customer service, which is half the battle in my opinion.

You won't be disappointed if you go BPM Sport

Yup. Tried to unlock the car this morning but apparently my dme doesn't match their version, now waiting on them to update servers so that dme version will match.

Hopefully it's updated and working by the time I get home.
