M4 CF Roof Delamination

Hello everyone, starting a thread for help with an issue. 2015 M4 and my CF roof has completely delaminated. Read a few threads on this with no conclusive solutions. Started off like some do with delamination around the front windshield. Within weeks in the Miami sun it was everywhere. I knew the dealer could care less as would BMW NA as well so I sanded it down to the cf. these roofs have an epoxy that's in the carbon weave. I clear coated the roof, sanded back down to carbon and cleared again. It looked pretty good except for some
Spots where you can see the old epoxy oxidizing under the clear. It literally starts to
Show thur the clear as a flaky white crust under the clear coat. Smooth to the touch but far from
Perfect. I'm looking for a solution, what can be done? Tried calling G3 Carbon in fort lauderdale based on a YouTube video, they have never gotten back to me. I think if I sand down to the carbon again and re-clear it will surely start to look like crap a short time after. There has to be someone who has had this issue fixed? I had a buddy who's car did the exact same. It was definitely a bad batch of epoxy on certain M cars that causes this. FU bmw, no way they'll take care of it allthough it's obviously a factory issue. Anyone somehow had this fixed?

Thank you

How long have you had the car? Was the car sitting in the Miami sun its entire life?

Can always just order a new roof albeit quite pricey! Can get it here

I then watched a scary video showing de-lamination on an M4 hood, yikes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B80m4ld6LZM

Car has been in the South Florida sun all of
Its life. I have a few friends with these cars, some have this issue and others don't. The sun is the same for all of them. Looks like
It was a bad batch of epoxy or whatever they put in these plastic carbon reinforced roofs.

Too expensive and labor is even more. Also run the risk of happening again. Not sure if sanding to the carbon and clear coating again will
Fix it. If it does then how long will it last? The shop in the video is about an hour away. They won't return my calls. Thinking of just rolling the dice and having a body shop sand and re-clear.

There have been a few to have the same happen and have their roof re-epoxied to look brand new. You have to be a member of this group to see it I think. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bmwf...74287226171315

I mag the guy, see if he hits me back. Basically he sanded down to carbon. Says he went hard on it and it didn't damage the fibers. Then cleaned with a solvent and looked fo flaws or epoxy left over. Sanded and cleaned with solvent between layers of clear and added about 7 coats. Looks amazing now, hopefully he hits me up
And gives me details like what grit, what solvent and some pointers. It's a florida car too, might be Miami or surrounding area. Thank you for finding that post, much appreciated.
