back in an f80 after going full cirlcle in g series cars and f87 m2

I have owned a few m cars in my days and in the last year with the car market being so crazy I have been able to buy and sell without losing (sometimes making) money.
I have owned the following cars in the past 15 months:
G80 m3- sold when market was super high and was able to drive it.l and enjoy for a short time. I am manual guy and thought the x drive would be fun.. and it wasn’t except for straight line pulls
F87 OG m2 manual- fun car, bought with a ton of mods off this forum but lacked a little power and needed something a little bigger I thought..
E90 DCT m3- car had a ton of miles and just decided I wanted something to commute in daily. Feared having issues so opted to sell
F80 DCT m3- loved this car but once again made the DCT mistake
E90 m3 manual- loved the v8 manual but missed the instant torque of the turbo engines I am used to.
G87 auto-this car was bought as demo
Car after I won the raffle. I really wanted to drive the car and see how it was.. within 2-3 weeks I decided I liked it but would wait for a manual and posted it given market was good and inventory was low.
Finally, just picked up an f80 m3 in yas blue with m performance exhaust, 763m wheels, and m performance lip in a manual. I love driving this thing, and it looks amazing. My wife and co workers think I am insane, but this is just what some car guys do I guess.

This is totally normal behavior as far as I’m concerned. 😎

I enjoyed reading your thoughts. Thanks for sharing! And I think you chose right on the F80 👍

Eh. As long as you can do it without losing your shirt on taxes and trade-ins who cares?

Cars and all the ancillary expenses to keep them mandates that we own cars we love.
Life is too short to drive boring cars.

Howdy,

Thanks for posting and thanks for confriming I do not need to waste time and money trying out those cars. It is for the most part what I expected from each.

Everytime I try to justify another car I end up giving up. BMW really nailed it with the F8x cars.

Congrats!

Let us know your thoughts on the G80 RWD manual you'll eventually be buying

What a journey. I've yet to buy an M car, or any BMW for that matter. Nice to enjoy vicariously through you

Yeah, it honestly does everything for a good price/value. I am going to try to keep it for a while and just enjoy it.
