Linuxmint site has dealing with the slow down too. They found Claude AI scraping the site in the process of training itself. Admins ended up blocking them. Seems to be working. Just a thought

This has been a continuing problem for me. Never a problem hitting the home page but when I try to enter any part of the forums it’s a crapshoot. A good percentage of the time the site hangs when trying to access a thread. I cancel the attempt, go do something else for a few minutes, and try again and it works.
