MT will continue to be an option on M3 moving into the next gen as long as bmw sees a need for it. As more and more customers in the M3 category move from MT to the DCT the chance that it could go away in the future increases.

I know it always takes a minute to get used to the new look of a beloved car, but the G20 looks like a Lexus.... |

I'm not a fan of the G20 or the direction BMW is headed with Design. I think they need to take some lessons in design from Mercedes....It looks too much like a Lexus.

Question for you on the BMWNA/USA - am I correct in remembering that North America was the only market where an F10 M5 was available with a manual transmission? If I'm not recalling that incorrectly, I'd presume that is some indication as to whether or not they will bring it stateside.

Mine keeps putting this stupid grin on my face when I drive it. It's very difficult to take the shortest route to my destination. Often 10 mile trips become 20 mile trips, 20 mile trips end up becoming 40 mile trips and so on.

Here is my issue which I started to notice 200 miles after I took delivery of the car in 2016. Two years and approximately 15k miles later my dealership still has not resolved nor duplicated this issue. I have showed them various video clips including one that I took, but BMW tech had informed that they do not perform diagnosis of a client's car based on videos taken from the internet.
https://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/threa...-video.183192/ https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...=ticking+noise It is supposedly a bad valvetronic motor according to the above thread. |

55,000 miles and:
Normal maintenance, including tires Second set of brake pads Vert roof has had to be significantly adjusted twice (warranty), and hydraulic system leak repaired A/C freeze bulletin Windshield washers stopped working due to algae (ewww...). See my thread - who knew THAT was possible. I now use my washers more... Driver lock started slowing down, motor replaced So no major issues, and some of these were because I'm picky. All were covered under warranty, I have no complaints. Would call it about the same as my E93. Cheers

Picked up my 2016 M4 in February 2016 in Spartenburg. Sakhir Orange and ordered with Carbonstructure interior, 6 MT, MPE, alcantara steering wheel, black kidneys, and carbon fiber front and back. Great car, no problems at all. Not tracked and garaged at home and work. 51K miles and Passport BMW is offering as CPO.

List the issues you've had with your M3/M4
I see a lot of threads mentioning specific problems, but haven't seen one that lists issues that one might experience over the lifetime of their F80. These are things outside of conventional routine service (e.g., tires, oil changes, and etc.). Here's my list so far (all repaired/replaced under warranty):
-Replaced headlight washer last winter (cold weather caused it to break) -Camera was disconnected from front bumper -Replaced screen/headunit (kept rebooting exactly 45 mins. into a drive; rebooting and installing new software couldn't resolve the problem) -Back plate added to brake shield (stones got caught and made a horrible sound when driving -Replaced steering wheel due to wear (and possibly mechanic?) Btw...I have a 2016 M4 CP with about 35k miles

Did you get the steering wheel replaced under warrantee? I have a 2015 and the entire top portion of my steering wheel is worn down from wear and the sun (Fl heat).

The only issue I have in my F80 are the squeeks and rattles. By far the noisiest BMW Ive owned interior rattle wise.
Still love it though.

There were a few times when I close the driver's door it was really loud, as if the lock actuator is malfunctioning.
Car only had 2000 miles. It's been fine lately but if it happens again I'll probably bring it in to get it checked out l. I agree the interior noise is bad, but I thought it's because of my F83's hardtop. It makes squeaks only when the car is wet. |

Sorry I should have clarified. Yep, it was covered under warranty. It was worn, but it also seemed to have some extra wear when I got it back from the dealership. The mechanic that worked on the car must have scuffed it somehow.
