Dyno Testing BM3 Tune Comparison

Hey Guys just wanted to share my video comparing my 2018 BMW M4 on 91 OCT and a low reading Mustang Dyno AKA "DreamKiller". In this video I compare the stock non-ZCP vs Stage 1 BM3 vs BM3 CS Stage 0+ and share my results. Full E85 Tune comparison coming soon to my channel as well.

very nice , so would you say the powerloss would in theory be less off of a civic m3 if there no secondary cats, better intercooler and bigger cooling radiators?

would that "close" the gap a bit....seems its possible even without a tune , but not completely "closed" possible without a tune.. thx

I am not at all a fan of that power curve from stage 1. Falls off a cliff at upper rpms.

The “cs” tune seems much better and much more linear

Great video OP!
Although the Dyno shows CS map might make a little bit more power top end which is weird only thing I can think of is car is just so hot and were there any fans there?

Usually the idea is if its too hot out back to back pulls a conservative map will heatsoak less. But let me tell you what I've seen on Dynojet and real world testing.

60-130mph via Dragy in my car, same roads and similar slope + weather
Stock 10.8 on 93 and 10.6s with E30 mix
CS Map 10.2 on E30 mix
STG1 93 9.1 consistently

See? the area under the curve will put the STG1 far ahead in a real world scenario

Thanks for doing the comparo... looks like the BM3 Stage 1 on 91 octane is really neutered up top compared to the 93 octane version.

A little disappointing since us CA guys don't have access to 93, sad to see that an oem CS map makes more top end power than Stage 1 on 91.

Our F8x's don't need more low-midrange power/tq, we have too much of that already STOCK. Give me more top end power!

I think if you're on 93 octane Stage 1 is awesome, I don't recall the BM3 guys ever releasing dynos for the 91 octane version. Maybe now we know why.

Thanks for the Video and the testing Blake

here are my findings as well on the dyno. same day run within minutes of each other.
on my car it actually tapers to the same point and the CS only has more midrange.

BTW this is with 15% ethanol and bad 91 Octane also at 5000ft Altitude.

Numbers are to the Tyre in Kw and Nm
