You didn't get rid of your e46 did you !?
No way! The e46 M3 is an amazing ride. I drive it 1-2 days/week and take the f80 the rest of the time
That a boy ! . Hope it's a manual

So, all said and done, how many forum members picked up one of the freebie individual M3s? Since I started this post in June, I saw a couple of Imolas, couple of Grigio, and a couple of Avus. If you see this, would the other two free individual color owners check in too, please?

+1 here in the UK. Lots of F80 Individuals at dealers. Picked myself up an M3CP Azurite Black. Could not be happier about the deal and collect 28/9!

That sucks. Almost every car, admittedly in a small list, of my dealer stock, only one was a standard colour, Mineral Grey. The others were all Individuals.

I have mixed feelings about BMW dumping so many N/C individual paint M3s on the market. On the one hand, it's great for enthusiasts who prefer imola, avus, grigio telesto, LSB or Daytona. On the other hand, it sucks for those buyers who paid a significant premium for these colors and had to wait in line. In addition, it really kills the exclusivity of these colors as they are way more common now.

Do remember that those cars came as is - no changing allowed. Want the full leather option? Too bad. Sunroof? Not happening. Extra port installed crap - yep, you are getting it.

So my thinking is that in theory, there is a cost to getting exactly what you want - and that would have included the $5K paint option in your custom order.

and remember. other countries get some of those colors free - but they pay for lots of options we get included.

Ya win some, you lose some.

Edit - and they didn't make that many of them.

Yes. It sucks if you paid extra, but you knew what you were getting into. As far as exclusivity, there will most like be only around 100 of each color, so compare that with YMB, SO, or AY, they still will be pretty rare.
