Shops in Texas that do CH fix

Just looking around to see if there is a reputable shop that will do the crank hub fix. I'm in Austin so would prefer something nearby but SA/Dallas would also work. Haven't decided to do it but want to have a plan in place if and when I decide to do it.
Recommendations?

Cedar Performance rubbed me the wrong way, owner was very condescending/arrogant/rude/unprofessional and ignored my questions (via e-mail). Don't think that's a good way to treat a potential customer. He also told me "Crank bolt captures don't do anything" verbatim.

I was recommended Ultimate Bimmer Service and read a bunch of good things about them. I'll be taking my car there if I did the crank hub.

When I contacted cedar, they said they wouldn't install customer supplied parts. Ultimate bimmer service is the way to go

Owner's reason for that was posted on the FB group.

'I used to negotiate and work with customer supplied parts, but then I realized customers were making me work harder (quoting multiple times, answering multiple calls/emails), for less money, and just decided to focus on the clients who want to see me live a successful life as well 🙂 Unlike Classic BMW, or BMW of Dallas, my earnings pay to feed my wife, my employees, my employees kids, instead of funneling money into a sub par race team.'

Essentially not allowing it so they can make more money. Kind of defeats the purpose of an indy shop if a customer can't provide their own parts. We too have a family to feed and need to save money by buying used parts.

Well... that confirms his shitty attitude and condescending/arrogant/rude/unprofessional behavior. I thought I was just gonna be a one off comment because everyone on the facebook groups praise their work and recommend them.

You should check out the negative Yelp review with the screenshot of a text communication.

Dang crazy. When I had my M235i I took it to Cedar for install of charge pipes and intercooler --- parts I sourced on my own. They seemed great (granted this was sometime in mid 2018).

I've been looking around to get quote on the VTT CBC install. Ultimate Bimmer Service was asking for a ridiculous number so I'm not sure I'll have anyone do this but wait til I can access a lift or quickjack to do myself, I suppose.

wow thats insane. I read all the reviews and that guy seems like a true asshole. The guy that posted the text messages seems pretty legit. Hard to let someone like that work on your car whether they're good or not. I'll check into Ultimate Bimmer. Thanks

Many shop owners absolutely hate when customer provide parts. Understandably they get left with an unsatisfied customer if the customer brings a crappy part for them to install.

If that's the case, perhaps the owner should inspect the parts before agreeing to do the work instead of completely not letting customers provide parts.

Their shop, their rules. I've worked with shops that fall on both sides of this spectrum.

I'd put it this way… even if they do inspect what get brought in, if something goes wrong, who would you put liability on? The part or the shop?

It's all about risk and reputation management.

A disclaimer/wavier would solve any blame.

Another one to try is EurAuto Shop in Plano, might be taking my car there for any upgrades.

Bump for recommendation in or near Austin. I contacted Soulspeed and they stated they were unable to do the crank hub fix? Eurofed seems like the only option? Thank you in advance.

Im located in the Austin area. Ended up going with Vanoslab. Search him up on Instagram. He's done ALOT of CH fixes from all over. Reasonable price as well.
