Brake caliper adapter for CCB caliper to steel discs.

Hui guys.

I wonder if anyone know where i could find adapters to move the CCB gold calipers in to fit with the regular steel discs.

Thanks, Johnny.

CCB front caliper does not fit with the 380mm front rotor. No adapter will make it work.

Why not just go with M2C disc rotors with CCB calipers?

Here's some reading material for you:

I already have them but the weight is crazy. It messes up the chassi. I want a lighter setup, that's why i need an adaptor.

Those conversions do not use the OEM rotors.

No, you need thicker discs.

Hi, any updates on this one? Standard Girodiscs 380mm for f82 are 32mm thick. If you put 1mm titanium shim on each side it effectively misses 2mm, which is within tolerance threshold.

I was also looking for the M2C solution but at the end got concerned with that extra weight. So I am looking into amg w204 c63 calipers (also nominally for 36mm), the adapters are available but I'd still rather go with OEM calipers due to better bias with standard blue ones at the rear. Any adapters for that?

If nothing is available out of the box than maybe there is someome who could make them as special order that you can recommed?

Paragonbrakes have 380x36mm discs for F82.

Thank you for the info but it would need to go with Giro and width is not an issue there I believe.

I am wondering what the custom adapter actually does? From various pictures it doesn't seem as there was space to move the caliper towards the inside. I am wondering, given resolving the thickness issue, what the reduction only in diameter from 400 to 380 would do to this? I mean if I wanted to install gold calipers as PnP solution without custom brackets and 380x32 Girodiscs with 2mm added on shims. Wouldn't this work? If not - what would be the exact issue? The pad sticking out <10mm outside the edge of the disc? Wouldn't that happen in each of the setups since there is no space to move the pad/caliper inside? Rotor offset?

Who said there was no space?

You can move the caliper 17mm, with 380mm discs you need to move it 10mm.

From the adapter perspective - yes. But it doesn't seem so from this 400mm picture and the pad/disc center perspective, there isn't any space on the inner of the disc to utilize, maybe 1mm of that rust stripe at the most:

?

In your image you are seeing a 400mm disc, a 380mm disc has smallest center.

That I didn't suspect. Thanks.

Are 400mm and 380mm centered the same way though? I.e. is the thickness of 400mm discs added symetrically on its both sides when compared to 380?

Exactly, example:
380mm disc have 300mm center.
400mm disc have 320mm center.

Thats also valuable info but what I meant was whether they have the same offset towards the hub, just like you have et of a rim? ;-)

I don't think it will change the offset, just the thickness.

Since you have to made a new adapter that is not a problem.
