*2020 BMW M4 Heritage Edition Registry*

I would like to compile a list to create a registry for the M4 Heritage Edition. The intention is to be able to log all 750 cars (which I'm sure will be nearly impossible) or as many as possible. Please provide the following information:

1) VIN
2) Color
3) Where purchased from and location (ie "Acme BMW in Anytown USA")
4) Production date
5) Options packages other than the "Heritage Package"
6) Transmission type (DCT or manual)

Thanks! I hope to update the list from time to time as more cars are added.

What's special about the heritage edition other than color and interior? Does it come with magnesium oil pan or carbon driveshaft? Better engine/diff programming?

Its mostly just cosmetic. Its basically a comp with a unique trim package. The interior carbon fiber is pretty cool I must say, but there are no crazy performance enhancements over a comp, mostly just tweaks. According to BMW "with the Heritage Edition BMW also worked on improving the M4 Heritage Edition’s driving dynamics through the fine-tuning of the Adaptive M suspension system. New shocks, springs, and anti-roll bars have been added as part of this setup. Likewise, tweaks to the Active M Differential and dynamic stability control system are also part of the full M4 Heritage Edition experience."

I'm not an M4 owner, but a recent experience with a Heritage Edition got me looking across this forum. I stumbled onto this thread and wanted to contribute to the effort in finding the location of all these cars.

Believe it or not, Newbold BMW in O'Fallon, IL, is using one as a service loaner! I had it for about 8 hours last week when my M Sport 435 6MT was in for service.

I didn't get the VIN, but the one I drove was Le Man's blue with DCT. It has roughly 2,200 miles on the odo.

The dealer is known for having a pretty eclectic mix of loaners and they target them to the customer. An M4 would not have surprised me, but a limited edition was quite a shock!

It's listed in their service loaners section. https://www.newboldbmw.com/exotic-ne...81d1dc6712.htm

Good to know. It looks like they are doing a better job with keeping the listing up to date. I hadn't looked there for quite a while since it wasn't always accurate and there is no telling what you'll actually get.
