Questions on M Performance Suspension
I am considering getting the M Performance suspension kit for my F80 M3 ZCP. I have a few questions:
1. Do I have to get the kit installed at a dealer to retain the factory warranty? 2. I was quoted 13-15 hours of labor time at the dealer to install. Is that what everyone else is paying? Seems high. Appreciate the insight! |

1. Yes 2. thats wild even for a dealer. 7-8 hours max even at the stealership 3. indy will do for a lot less. But HAS is almost as time consuming as coilovers |

also dude. you live in the beautiful state of california. im sure there are a million; fourm memeber approved shops thatll do it for a reasonable cost and probably have more experience with it than the dealer. Aside from the springs it self; idk what the warranty on the MP has covers

Get it done at the dealer. Everyone on the forum that complains about clicking sound from aftermarket springs is due to bad install at Indys/Performance shops. The instructions that come with the kit say 4.5h but most quote 7h. Of course you lose warranty if someone else installs it.

Dealer wanted $2200 parts and $1500 install and $129 alignment. Wanted the car for 2 days. Ordered the parts from one of the forum-supporting dealer websites on here for MUCH cheaper than my dealer quoted (I have ordered several times from both of them and they are both great!) and had a local performance shop very familiar with BMW (all they do) install and align for $920, 5 hour wait. Yes warranty may be an issue using an independent shop but wearable parts and if something breaks then coil overs.

Greetings all - I am getting ready to install these on my 2019 M4 next week ... can anyone tell me if there is a way for me to confirm if my EDC software is the proper version? I noticed the instructions say to make sure to update.

I installed the KW HAS kit myself, took me 4hrs. I had a broken sensor after and chassis malfunction fault. Took it to the dealer and they replace the sensor under warranty. Ha! I was expecting to pay due to the aftermarket install and parts.
The labor quotes are crazy. No issues, other than I can't raise the rear with the spanner wrench due to confinement. So I'll need to drop the rear again and adjust.
