Got an AA EQ midpipe - paired it with stock DPs and muffler. Honestly the EQ midpipe completely changes the ownership experience of this car. Whether you buy one or make one, 100% recommend.
Edit: Other details - base muffler, non-resonated AA pipes, valves are open

Which AA equal mid pipe is that? The straight version?

Non-resonated. There are some deep resonant frequencies around 3k RPM when the valves are open - not good or bad (I think it sounds much more exotic), just something to note. It definitely gives the car a jekyl/hyde character because with valves closed it's as quiet as stock and sounds way less rough.

I remember you messaged me awhile back that you were buying exhaust parts to make your own. What happened to that project? |

I did, and I do still have the pieces! I was ready to go with a shop in Dublin for the welds and fitting but then COVID happened and for a variety of reasons I didn't have time / everything was closed down. See below for the basic mock up of the design (based on some of the forum members designs here). All the mandrel bends were bought pre-bent so any additional bending would be for fitment and wouldn't be full bends - the U needs to be cut for the specific additional length needed. Total for the piping was about $250 from summit racing and my quote for welding and fitting was about $300. There is one major drawback with this design, hence why I ultimately went AA - the X pipe is after the diff in this vs before the diff on AA. This is important because if the X is after the diff, it makes getting to the fill plug a little more challenging. Not impossible but just depends on if that matters to you or not. Also, this deign removes the resonator but keeps the secondary cats - the AA removes both resonator and secondary cats.

@RugbyBro
Isn't the X pipe in your pic sideways??? I think the main flow should be down the X legs and not across the middle cutout, otherwise you push all the flow through that restriction.

Oh interesting, I didn't realize that at the time that I mocked it up. I had oriented that thinking it would help fitment without realizing. So effectively with it oriented correctly this would be the design I think? This one lines up closer to OEM. The U is still exaggerated and needs to be cut for the additional length needed

Yes, now the X orientation looks right.
