Ok I understand. Let me ask you one question though- I'm sure you have spoken to him about the car in detail ( or driven it yourself ) after hearing his opinion did it change your own expectations on how good the car will be and if so for the better ( a little, a lot?) or for the worse?

Based off his reaction driving the car, the car must be a animal. He usually is not that impressed with cars since he drives them all but he said this M3 was very very exciting all the way around.

No problem! Glad you liked it. Still debating whether some nice headers will be my next mod. OEM exhaust sounds fine but the headers plus a good tune really accentuate it.

OP - Nice spot. Thanks for the footage. Wonder why it was still in camouflage.

I have a friend / I know somebody

but I can't tell anything about him...

So why mention him in the first place?

no big deal - but it probably defaults to on rather than off like the E9x
No, it defaults to whatever your last setting was.

Agreed. We had a 2013 Audi, and although it was a 2.0, the turbo made it quite a fun drive.

Don't worry about the auto start/stop for 2014MY at least in my M6 once i turn it off and set "last settings to active it never goes on. That wasn't true for my 2013 6 GC where every time had to turn it off, brutal. And as others said the M3/M4 are 2015MY

Haha my pleasure. My neighbors already adore the morning cold starts. I'm sure they would happily welcome this upgrade.

If I remember correctly Auto start /stop isn't active in manual mode on DCT cars anyway? Could be wrong but this is my recollection from my old car.

On the m235i, I believe if you are in sport mode auto start/stop is by default turned off

The earlier F30's didn't, but they changed it for 2014-on. Even still, it's nothing that a quick coding session can't fix.
