Yes that is the point. Since the Roundel article specifies that to meet the 1500kg you need to have the CCB option, to figure out the weight of a DCT car without CCB, you need to add back the weight difference of the CCB. No?

Right-O, assuming only 20 kg difference for the DCT and used 40 kg instead of 40 lb for the brakes.

Agreed, mags do screw-up the data pretty often.
We already know that the DCT will be at least 32 kg heavier than the 6MT (the difference was 20kg on the E9X plus the new 6MT is 12kg lighter). The big question is what is the difference, if any, between the old and new DCT. 8kg does not seem far fetched for a beefed-up version of the DCT... it will probably end up being something in between. |
