I can verify that the ones in Detroit did not. I think this is the first that anybody has heard of Alcantara anything on this car.. AND STANDARD?!

This thing just created a bunch more questions rather than answers!

Again and again, Shadowline is gloss black.

"Alcantara" headliner seems to be a typo, and the "M Dynamic Damper Control" seems to me like a bad translation of MDM.

Its the same as the door trim on the E9x M3. Not sure why there are so many questions.

Why do you think it's a typo?

I hope this is simply a mixup of terms, if you look at the military price guide there was similar language

Full $950 - (no charge with exec pkg)
Extended $2000 - ($1,100 with exec pkg)
Full is more leather than the extended so that wouldn't make sense

It also says M Drive and M Dynamic Control wouldn't that be MDM?

I wonder if power FOLDING mirrors are standard. We had to get the premium pack in the past to get them.

Any info on that???

I am thinking about ordering light optioned car at the beginning and once the hype dies down, my plans is to order an individual with comp pack, exec and leather.

The base car itself is quite good.

It's an assumption, but I'm going to assume they are standard. If they have gone so far as to make navigation, CF trim, etc. standard, I'm sure that power folding mirrors have been included.

Wait, 20 way M Multi Contour seats?

Me thinks someone was cutting and pasting from the M5 product features sheet. That would answer. Lot if questions raised:

20 way multi contour seats
Alcantara Headliner
M Dynamic Damper Control

All standard on M5

What is the source of this document!?!?

This was discussed in a few other threads. I think--and someone correct me if I'm wrong--the consensus opinion is that "extended" is the most leather possible, with "full" being a step down. The prices seem to reflect this as well.

Regardless, they picked a horrible naming convention because it can honestly be thought of either way, without an options guide in front of you.

TIL: Rear heated seats are part of the Executive Package on M3, not standard equipment.

Interesting. I first sampled heated rear seats in my buddy's F30 335i; they work well. Unnecessary for me because I rarely have rear seat occupants, but I'll take them if they come with the Exec Package. At least if I'm gettin' busy back there, I can keep my ass (..or her ass) warm.

I would assume tho that Comfort Access is only for door lock/unlock and not to start the car. I believe the other F models will start with the key in your pocket. Exec pack has some cool things but not sure I want everything. I really want HUD tho..

Is the Active Cruise Control option missing from this? Figured that would be an option.
