The side shot of the G80 looks very aggressive, especially the big flare behind fender. It could use real vents over fake ones. Gold wheels what a great combo.

Sadly the F80 is starting to looking dated, especially when jammed w the body kit, becomes too busy in the front, that said the G80 grill makes me look away.

Stunning car. Even an intergalactic visitor without any prior experience with cars would find this car to be equally stunning.

Dated how? You must feel E46 M3 is also dated lol
Good design stands the test of time - 50yrs from now those cars will still be lookers.

G80 has body lines that lead nowhere with fake plastic vent trim and lets not forget the shiny black lower body trim, Lexus tails and Challenger hood.

Awesome looking, and I'm kinda conservative on colors!

Definitely no vaccine for this baddie because clearly, she is SICK!!!

Something else that is sick: The hate for the G80 grill. I'm pretty sure 99% of us love BMW. Drawing inspiration from Bimmers of years past is a luxury! Tapping into the companies pedigree and drawing inspiration and paying homage/tribute to some of those amazing automobiles is something EVERY manufacturer wishes they had ability to do, but alas, a lot of them don't have the designs that are/were timeless trademarks that when when you see it, you subconsciously think…BMW or Ferrari or Lamborghini.

This conversation happens at every generation change. Although the G series is arguably the biggest change in design.

Personally I think the F8X is a beautiful and cohesive design. The G series just trumps it every where else and most people are used to the grills already.

Completely disagree on these points.

- Nobody is used to the grills but even besides that disaster, the rest of the car is not a cohesive design especially G82.
- ZF auto is a huge negative vs DCT
- Weight gain
- Less use of CF for structural components ie driveshaft, front STB

G8x is smoother to drive in traffic and has more capability due to more power and advanced suspension. It has less engagement and rawness compared to F8x. It does have superb bucket seats 👍

Should have added IMO.

I own both. Even with the F80 heavily modified the G80 is superior in handling and grip. Maybe I'm used the the ZF from my F90 M5 but I don't miss the DCT. Again IMO.

Everyone likes different things so you can't say nobody has got used to them. Maybe you haven't but plenty of people have and have purchased the cars as they like them.

The ZF auto is being used because of the AWD that is coming.
