Also after the track will be discarding factory pads and using/testing powerstop’s Z23 Evolution Carbon infused pad for my daily driving, sick of all the brake dust. Thanks
Hi, can you please post impressions of the new street pads when you get a chance? Much appreciated!

I ran another event this last weekend (Road America) and after bending my PFC08 pads the last track day and having the pad come off the backing plates once I took them off the car, I decided it was time to try something else. I decided on DS1.11 and I am very glad that I made that decision.

PFC08: Like I mentioned before, the PFC08's really lacked initial bite and it felt like I had to get into the peddle more to get the desired effect. I used the PFC08's on my E90 so I figured that the F80 would have the same results... What was different is my ability has increased and so did my speeds. I truly feel the PFC08's are not for higher speeds. The other disappointing aspect of these pads were I bent the backing plates pretty good. The pads still had more pad than backing plate, that was until they warped and had a very distinguishable bow to them. I guess they got too hot. What is weird is the temps were much cooler than the last even on the same track... So Needless to day PFC08's are not going back on the car.

When I would take the PFC's off the car, the pad build up was tremendous. I would get groaning and a bit of "warped rotor" feeling knowing all to well the rotors were NOT warped. I drove with the PFC08 in town and around with some hard cool braking and the condition really did not clean the rotors. Once I put the OEM's back on I still had to deal with that "track pad build up" and have ever since. Just another reason PFC08's have put a sour taste in my mouth.

Ferodo DS 1.11
After reading the reviews and seen the large amount of pagid RS29 dislike, I ordered up a set of these. My initial impressions were wow these pads bite on command. To me the braking was much more linear that the 08's and they just stopped better. Compared to Joliet Autobahn, Road America is a much faster track. The straights with my F80 routinely saw 135-145 (14-1, 3-5. Kink to Canada) with down hill braking zones into T3, T5, T8, T12. I never once felt that the brakes require more pressure and were much easier to modulate. The braking was much more consistent. I had that moment of "This is how brakes are supposed to be".

Pad wear was not bad for the 7 sessions I ran last weekend. The DS1.11 also cleaned the old 08's pad build and the brakes felt good again. The first 2 sessions had some judder but after that smooth braking again. When I got home and put back on the OEM's, it was like I was never at the track.

For those who chose PFC08's, you may want to consider DS1.11's

My experience has been the same, glad I'm not the only one. Ferodo ftw.

Include me on the 1.11 camp -- very happy with mine! COTA's 150-20 braking zone was a non-issue, although some of that could be contributed to the AP / Essex setup.

I always use DSUNO and I really like them as well. Is there somebody who tried both? I really appreciate if you can compare uno vs 1.11.

I've got quite a bit of my pads, including ferodos, from bestbrakes (raceshopper). Prolly other options too.

I’ve used HP Autosport in the past.

I ran the double duty/ DD Endless ME20 for many years. It's good for both street and track and it last me a while. Also, IMO, it's not as abrasive were it just eats your rotors alive. I recently changed my whole BBK set up and now I'm rocking the DS1.11 I've only tracked twice and brake performance is phenomenal. As to the longevity about the pads, it's still to early to tell. Cheers

We ran PFC11 pads on a stock brake setting with aftermarket SS lines with OEM brake fluid fresh~. PFC11 pads did not show consistent braking power. It will lose its power after one attack ~! We should have gone with PFC13 compound. PFC 11 compound pads are below Pagid RSL1 compound pads.
