AWRON Firmware updates WTF

So I bought an Awron DGA on 4/25 of this year and now they make one with firmware that has EVC and delete R.

So I just found out you have to pay to get the firmware from state side vendors? Does anyone know if that's correct.

I haven't contacted AWRON.de yet to verify but I would thing that just like BMS the updates would be a given as your trying to improve your product and get more sales.

Does anyone have the latest firmware?

This can be added to your Awron display via the integrated USB port, not a problem.

Feature Updates (different from firmware upgrade) is generated based on your device's serial number to add the optional features like Exhaust Valve Control and Catless Code suppression at an additonal cost from Awron, we have no control over this.

If it's any consolation, it is competitive compared to Akrapovic's Delete-R which is $495 and only offers CEL code supression, while the Awron adds integrated EVC control also.

May be too early to ask, but...

Will they be offering an updated color scheme, seeing as the MY16 models have the white backlighting?

Depends on the display capabilities, I don't see why not.

This would be something that possibly could be entered into a firmware update as an available option. Will check and report back if there is any progress.

Awron has closed it's doors for the time being and will be back sometime in Q2 2020.
