MPE muffler on stock pipe(non MPE)

I have 2015 f80 with non MPE. I am considering cut and weld only the MPE muffler on to current stock pipe(steel?). Has anyone tried this set up? Would this work?

from what I know , not many shops are able to weld SS to titanium and it's expensive

your best bet is to extend the ss if its needed and to clamp the two different metals.
