Emission light?

Hello

This morning when I start the car, emission light came on. The manual book said I need to have the system checked immediately. I installed the downpipe recently and is this something installer didn't do correctly? any help will be appreciated.

Likely a code from removing primary cats, but you will need to run codes to verify.

Do you have a tune to remove the MIL light? If not is because of the primary cat being removed, Its normal.

I don't have any tune. As Tom recommended and Mike, I'll have to find a shop to run the codes to verify. I should be fine driving the car then?

Thanks everyone!!

You need software for the CEL issue since you removed the cats
There are a lot of great software options available based on what your goals for the car will be.

Hi,

On the way home, I stopped by the shop near my home (lucky they were still open late on Saturday) and asked them to see if they can run the codes and yes, it showed Catalytic Converter Efficiency below threshold and he cleared this code and CEL disappeared.

The software he used was SOLUS EDGE!

Thank you so much!!

It will come back on after driving a short while and continue to do so unless you get a tune or some other means to clear the light. As mentioned though, it's perfectly fine to drive with the cat efficiency error.

Hi,

I'll make sure to do this if CEL appears again before I do the 1200 mile service.

I'm planning to get the Bootmod3 for tuning....this will resolve a problem then?

Thanks for the information!!
