I just want both sets. My dumbass gave away my AA 2>1 midpipe and I'm realizing it would've worked just fine. Wonder if the VRSF ones work since they're pretty much a clone...and cheap.

Let me know if you find out. I have some Vibrant resonators in the basement, just hadn't gotten around to installing them. I'm kind of worried that while it will clean up the sound it will also quiet it down too much and I'm already driving around with the rear seats down with a non res mid and MPE. I feel like if it did I'd have to start thinking about some res DPs

Yes they work. Did it myself. They fit exactly the same.

I had both resonated and non resonated rear pipes. Res was too quiet and non-res was too brassy.
I bought smaller resonators and welded them into the non-res pipes. Sounds perfect to me.
Working on getting a comparison video together. When I do that I'll post it here.

Which resonators did you use?

This is when I first installed it, stock DPs, non resonated EQ mid, MPE. Some people with EQ + MPE didn't like the sound, saying a steel muffler would sound better, I love the way it sounds inside the car, esp in the upper RPMs, I just don't know how it really sounds outside and think resonators would clean up the somewhat harsh sound I hear in the vid.

Selling the MPE and getting an aftermarket exhaust is still on the table, I'm still trying to figure it out (or not since I haven't touched the exhaust since June of last year when I installed it )

I used these. One end is 2.5" ID, the other is 2.5" OD, so be prepared to break out the pipe expander if you plan to DIY with these.

I've got these Vibrants, the ones you installed are tiny at 4in length. I wonder how much of a difference it is, any idea on the length of the ones AA uses?

The AA ones are about 8" long. Here's a picture comparing the two.
They definitely made a difference. I did not like the crazy horn blast at WOT with the non-res pipes. These are more tame than that but produce a lot more sound than the AA resonators.

I have a clip of the AA resonated pipes. I need to record a clip with the custom ones and make a back-to-back video.

If anyone really wants a set of EL midpipes (with resonators) and is located in SoCal, I have a set for sale.

For those with catless DPs and a resonated EL midpipe. Is there a significant difference in smell?

We already started shipping EL MP's this week, hopefully we can get all orders out by the end of next week. Thanks to all for being patient.
