I've been running the resonated version for a week. Turned off ASD on the second day. It nice and quiet, quieter than stock I'd say but at the same time cleaner and smoother sounding. I think it's what stock should've been. I'm happy with it. Also ordered a pair of unresonated pipes to try later on.

Sure I can try - the weather has been trash here so I havent been driving the car much. It definitely sounds better in person regardless of what I will film

Got my EL resonated a week ago and finally got it put it in. The car sounds great, definitely worth the wait, but I have a bad rattle during cold starts. It didn't appear till I got home from the shop and let the car cool. It sounded like something was broken and only appeared under light throttle. I pushed up the heat shield in the area a previous post mentioned (where the pipes cross) and it helped a little but when it's cold the rattle is still there. When the car is warm it is pretty much gone. Anyone have any more tips?

Exhaust gaskets. The mid pipe doesn’t come with them so the shop probably didn’t install any. You’ll need to disconnect the mid pipe from the down pipe and stick these on the down pipe side first then connect the midpipe. You’ll need 2. You may have one left over from the original midpipe but you should replace both since you want a good tight seating. YouTube search Tommy L exhaust rattle, or look back a couple pages when I posted it for the same explanation/fix.

I bought and supplied the gaskets. One if the pipes didn't look like it was flush with the downpipes but we checked for leaks and everything was fine, just some condensation from where the mid pipe meets the muffler. I drive it this morning and the rattle only happened once for like a second.

I currently have Activeautowerke catless downpipes and the original 2>1 midpipe connected to a Remus muffler but am waiting for my Activeautowerke resonated EL midpipes to arrive. I'm also in SoCal if anyone wants to check it out at the meets.

Keep tightening until the connection is relatively flush (this may take a few attempts, I used an impact driver). You shouldn’t be able to see a big gap between the mid pipe and the metal gasket/plate. If it’s not flush then the bolts can loosen or overtime the gasket loses its relative seal and space develops - I had to retighten a couple times because of this. It will only happen on cold starts because the pipes haven’t expanded to fill the empty space.

let us know how it goes, I had a similar setup on my personal M4 (catted DP) and it's the best sounding one in my opinion

Ya...I've been waiting ~2 months ...but I know it'll be worth the wait.

Do I get anything special from ya'll for this being my second mid pipe for the same car?

I have fixed the rattle! The hanger near the downpipes was touching the L that's wielded on. I loosened the hanger and put a screwdriver to make as much space as possible between them and tighten. And the rattle sound is completely gone. I also tightened the connection to the downpipes, the bolts did come a little loose over 2 days of sprinted driving. Thank you all for the help!
